Barrow-In-Furness hotel

I had an absolutely fantastic experience thanks to Shelley From start to finish, everything was handled with such professionalis and attention to detail. Shelley went above and beyond to make sure my stay was smooth and enjoyable

I have stayed at The Premier Inn at Barrow on a number of occasions. I have found the staff here and at the attached Brewers Fayre pub very friendly and helpful. A warm welcome has always greeted me. In particular Shelley and Amy have been especially excellent. They bent over backwards to get me the room that suited my needs. I thoroughly recommend.

Location was good enough and the room was as perfect as Premier Inn rooms always are, apart from the constant bang bang bang of a piece of scaffolding outside our room and the heat in the room through the night. It was just so hot through the night with zero escape. It's like being on the sea and you can't drink the water. Premier Inns have big windows that you can't open. I'm afraid I am, for the first time for as far back as I can remember, going to try a different chain of hotels in June to see if their rooms are any cooler through the night. If they are as comfy as the Premier Inn rooms and the heat is manageable/controllable then I might have to consider becoming a Premier Inn traitor and swapping (I can't believe I am saying that!) I think once in one room a few years back we had a fan, but they are no good for light sleepers so can't keep them on through the night. You need windows with some form of vent to allow air flow. Please! Then you would be back to being the perfect hotel again.

It was not possible to check in before the official check-in time, but they did store our luggage. The hotel is located a bit outside the city centre, but it only takes a few minutes’ walk to get there. The room was a good size and the shower was fine. Given how low the price was, we did not expect the Savoy, but we still recommend this hotel.
