Hartlepool Marina hotel

We stayed as a family for two nights, all the staff we came across whilst staying (reception, housekeeping and Brewers Fayre) were beyond excellent. The room was spotless and even had a full sized bath. It was a hot weekend and a large standing fan was provided as the room didn’t have air conditioning. We paid extra for the meal deal option. And the food provided at the Brewers Fayre pub/restaurant was very good. Breakfast was unlimited and very varied with many options. And the menu options for dinner and tea were plentiful. You get a good marina view from pretty much every room and looking out over the marina when you wake up first thing in the morning was very pleasant. Me and my family would stay at this hotel again in a heartbeat. This was our first time staying at a Premier Inn and we’ll definitely be using them again as a first choice wherever we go. Premiers Inn, the staff at this hotel are an absolute credit to your company!

The location is very good lovely view of the harbour and nice bars around it. The hotel was very clean thanks to the hard working cleaners...the receptionist were all very helpful and polite. In some places outside and inside the corridor was a little bit tired... And no lift...no air con in the rooms but there was a big fan which did keep us cool. Over all nice place nice staff and would definitely stay there again.

There were two positive aspects to the stay, the first was the bed was comfy, the second, was leaving the following day. Hotel was dirty and the corridor smelt of a dubious illegal substance; other than the bed being comfy, the room was poor and tired, the window was dirty and you couldn't see through it, so paying for the harbour view was pointless. This is the worst premier inn I've ever stayed in and one which I will not revisit. The food and drink in the pub next door was very, very poor... save you money and get a meal deal from Asda opposite.

Room normal standard we had a meal deal evening two course and breakfast evening meal lovely but breakfast not normal standard eggs were rubber not as much choice as other's we've stayed at

I chose the Premier Inn (Hartlepool Marina) as it is close to HMS Trincomalee, which I had been planning to visit. I had a great view of the marina and Headland, the staff were friendly and helpful, providing useful information on checking in. They even allowed me to leave my suitcase in reception for a little while on the last day, before catching the train home, for which I was grateful. The food was tasty and good value with the meal deal (although prices were quite reasonable anyhow). The location is good for getting into town (5-10 minutes walk), and the train station is nearby too. My room was quite quiet, and comfortable for the main part. The only negative was that I could not turn the heating down, despite instructions explaining how to do this. Whilst I understand there Premier Inn does not have air conditioning, it should at least be easier to turn the temperature down. Otherwise, this was a good stay, and I would probably come here again if staying in the North.
