"A quiet and comfortable nights sleep"
Midweek couple visit midweek May 2026. Excellent visit with professional reception Love the Premier Plus room for just a few pounds extra. Good room temperature controls . Easy to find. Large free car park. Did not go much on the catering arrangements - adjacent Hungy Horse pub. Bit too crash bang wallop, stack it high make it cheap, for my liking.

I wanted to give a shout out to Sue on reception who was fantastic in checking me in. Sue was very welcoming and was keen to ensure I had all I needed.
In addition, Sue offered me a bottle of water, especially given the heat, this was very much appreciated.
My only negative is with regards the lack of air conditioning in the rooms. It would make a huge difference.
However, this is more of a call out for Sue and her ability to welcome a customer in the most pleasant and professional of ways. Given that I would recommend this hotel, I hope Sue’s colleagues continue to represent Premier Inn in the same way.

"Melodie is a star!"
We booked to stay for one night on our way up to Scotland to break up the journey with our 2 young children.
We were immediately greeted with smiles and a warm greeting from Melodie behind the desk and check in was quick and problem free.
Due to a booking error (not sure who's fault but I suspect mine) a family room was booked but it was down as just 2 adults so only the main bed was set up. We went to reception and asked for extra bedding, explaining the issue and were offered the resolution without hesitation. We were on our way across the car park for dinner (and soft play).
When we returned to the room, the bedding was all sorted and we were surprised by a really lovely gesture and gifts from Melodie for the kids. It made the girls feel so special.

We thought the rooms were clean, cool (it was 29° outside when we pulled up) and well equipped with very little noise, despite their being a pub on site.
We really enjoyed our night and would definitely stay here again to break up the journey.
Ok, its not a destination hotel but thats not what we needed from it and it did everything we needed and more.
