"Would have slept better in my car!"
Stayed one night at this Premier Inn, and thank god it was only one night, as we only got 4 hours sleep!!
We stayed on the ground floor near the stairs/reception and there was constant noise coming from the area above us from 5am until 9.30am. It sounded like an elephant walking back and forth down, (what we think) was a corridor or store room. Also, every time someone walked through the door between the downstairs corridor and reception, our bedroom door would slam/vibrate.
We reported this to reception in the morning, and was told they couldn’t do anything about it - we had to report it online.
So we wasted half an hour making a complaint to Premier Inn’s Guest Relations to be told that we should have reported it whilst it was happening (i.e., get out of bed looking like a scruff in your pjs and go to reception). Sounds really convenient for the customer!!
They said we could have rang reception (how thoughtful). So, if you don’t fancy a stroll down to reception at 5 in the morning in your pjs, grab your phone spend half an hour searching Premier Inn’s website for a number to call, because they certainly don’t make it easy for customers to complain!!
And after all that, wait until you try their tea and coffee in morning!!
We feel completely scammed and we will NEVER stay at a Premier Inn again!! (And that was the first time LOL)
My advice to anyone on the verge of looking else where - do it!! Give your money to the locals who really appreciate people, not a huge corporation, who know you’re just another statistic!!
Alternatively, just stay in your car - I can guarantee you’ll wake up feeling as refreshed as we did staying at the Premier Inn, and you won’t get scammed!! :)

"Sleeping in a greenhouse."
Booking in was easy, Angela the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. On entering the room it became obvious that the aircon had been turned off in a permanent way, the heat within the room was horrendous, there was a table top fan operating which we left on all night. We booked an accessible room as I am a wheelchair user, it was clean and smelled nice. The bathroom was excellent with it being a wet room there was plenty of space and an excellent seat in the shower. We asked for a raised bed, however premier inn don’t do them anymore. The aircon needs to switched on, I understand the cost implications with this but in the summer it definitely needs to be on. Overall it was ok. Our room was No 28.

"Stolen bikes ."
Group of 11 motorcycle enthusiasts. Stayed here 3 nights . If you have a motorcycle please do not stay here . Likewise a pushbike or e bike unless you take it in the room with you . 2 e-bikes stolen from customers during our stay . We had to stay up during the Saturday night. Paired up to protect our motorbikes. Will never be back . This is a warning to all cyclists and motorcyclists.

"Not great"
On arrival the car park was full of vans, making it difficult to park. Appreciate that Premier Inns are a Mecca for the travelling contractors, but made it difficult to park.
Talking of parking, expect a fine from Horizon - even after registration- they like to have a try.
The room was ok, relatively dated in comparison to others I have stayed at, and very stuffy. The outside noise of seagulls woke my early, despite being miles from sea. There must be a rubbish dump nearby.
The restaurant food isn’t worth bothering about, and service is slow. Use McDonalds in walking distance

"Worst premier inn I have ever stayed in."
I stay in a lot of premier inn around the UK regularly and this has to have been the worst. In Room 202 next to team members only room it sounded like they were banging all night or washing machines constantly going off so the noise was ridiculous. The room itself was shabby, the bathroom smelled like male toilets and there was stains on the sheets for the bed. We arrived at 9.30pm to check in and didn't use dinner or breakfast we rang the bell to check in and told to check in on self check in which initially the one we did see said out of order. The staff member just went back into a room to leave us to it rather than assist in anyway. Other than that no staff we present. I had a operation booked the next morning at the hospital across the road from this premier inn and was in a lot of pain so I didn't go down at midnight to try and speak to the staff about another room as I didn't have the energy to sort changing rooms if that is something that would have been offered but I feel if I had went looking for staff they wouldn't be helpful anyway. Have lost faith in premier inn experiences. It was not worth the money at all.
