Truro hotel

This hotel is in the middle of a much-needed refurbishment. Our Premier + room was clean enough but it was nothing special. The shower pulsed from lukewarm to scalding. Unable to open a window to get fresh air so you’re reliant on the air-conditioning which would not go below 19°. We didn’t have our room serviced every day but when we asked for more bottles of water at reception they said it was only available to those guests who had their rooms serviced !🤷 The ‘free’ wifi didn’t work at all, whilst the Premier WiFi (£5 for 24 hours) was intermittent. And the restaurant was tired and dirty. The ‘clean’ tables were sticky as was the well worn carpet. Thick layer of dust on top of the coffee machine. Won’t be using this hotel again any time soon. Disappointed.☹️

I'll start with the positives. There's ample parking. And check out was good, because it meant I was leaving. Now to the rest. This place just needs to be bulldozed and a new hotel built. It's in a bad way. Room absolutely stank of black mould/mildew. No 240V plugs by the headboards, just USB A ports (in 2026!), so no ability to charge devices. TV was standard definition. Really had holiday camp from the 90's vibe. The beefeater is equally run down. Seats with patchy coverings, etc. There are Premier Inn's which are fresh and are a great stay, then there are others where I think, 'if I was staying here in passing for business, I'd just grin and bear it', but this one is below that standard. This one's a bad one.

The hotel is in the midst of extensive refurbishment but this did not impact us at all. The Premier Plus room was small but adequate and well furnished with extra facilities - iron and ironing board, coffee pod machine, pleasing toiletries and enhanced decor. It was clean and modern and very comfortable. We had an excellent night's sleep followed by a varied and delicious breakfast with attentive and friendly staff on hand. Yes it's a budget hotel but within that context I can see no reason to cavill or to complain. Well done in my opinion.

None of these I received . This is purely for the premier inn and not the beefeater attached. I definitely would NOT return

Young lady at the reception seems to be in rush, in about 20 seconds gave me what I assumed is the worst room ever, at least on my personal experience sleeping every week at the premier inn. Room n1 is for people with disabilities, when I went back asking why she said has been booked too late that is clearly an excuse. The bed is about 25 inches from the floor, everything looks really old. Bathroom just big but no water pressure for shower. Dinner was a mess too. Wrong starter so I asked to get just a mixed grill, the steak is just a peace of fat that even my dog can refuse. Such a shame, I always have a good time at the Premier Inn in UK but this is is a place to void
