Emma asked if we could at 2:50 … the computer said no Even at what we thought was 3pm was actually 2:59 and 30 seconds but he acknowledged it would take 30 seconds to get to the right screen on on his computer so she could wait! The same chap spoke to someone working in the kitchens and told him he was recruiting got the kitchens. It didn’t land well, but our little chap felt it okay to tell him he couldn’t do anything about who he chose. Ultimately he is working in hospitality… which means he needs to be hospitable! Premier Inns are not as cheap as they once were. Add in in rudeness and lack of hospitality and they will fail

Staff lovely and welcoming, and always helpful. A perfect location for the rail and bus station. Our room even had a sea view. Clean, everything well stocked, very quiet room. What could be better?

Coming off the Scillonian ferry hot and tired in the evening, I checked into the Hotel and went straight into the shower. Afterwards, undressed, I wanted a cup of coffee, only to discover that the entire container of drinks etc. was missing and there was only a kettle and two empty mugs. My friend went down to reception to inform them, and was told to take some sachets back up to the room. Nobody replaced the missing drinks or container for the entire one night stay. Reception was mostly unstaffed on both nights we stayed there, although staff did appear fairly soon. I do not feel that the lackadaisical service received reflected the £165 a night cost of our second visit.

Like many reviewers, I have had a positive experience here in the past, BUT, this year the price was ridiculous at £150 for one night, the whole place smelled unpleasant and musty, the room was dirty with only one towel and fresh pillow cases on the spare pillows were not in evidence. The lavatory was very stained. The poor staff were very few and far between and rushed off their feel. Not staying here again!

The worst PI I have ever stayed in. Rooms small, dark and not very clean. Beds well overdue for replacement. You could put your hand between the mattress and the side wire. Rooms aren't even serviced daily unless you request it and then all they do is empty the bin! Staff tried hard but there aren't enough of them. Constantly juggling checking people in and out serving meals in the restaurant and washing up when plates ran out at breakfast!
