The room was immaculate! Credit to the house staff. Connor and Rachel were polite, welcoming and very helpful. I have some special requirements and they bent over backwards to make sure everything was perfect.

Kristelle made us feel very welcome. I booked a double room instead of a twin,Kristelle sorted it out for us,no problem, she was polite and we had a twin room within minutes. A few moments later Kristelle was back to give my auntie a rose and card to wish her a happy birthday.

First the good. The staff were always welcoming and friendly, in particular the restaurant staff who went out of their way to reserve a particular table for us so our grandson with additional needs, could be kept comfortable. The restaurant food was not bad although the menu is rather limited. And on some occasions they were completely out of some commodities – one morning they had only three eggs between all of their customers! On other occasions it was peas or sausages or burger buns that were in short supply. Parking was easy with plenty of spaces. The hotel is situated just 20 mins or so from East Looe beach which is family friendly. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Wifi although free, was patchy. Now the down side. Why oh why can they not do something about noise? In particular their room doors and connecting fire doors slam shut noisily. It is so frustrating to be woken up frequently when latecomers arrive and just let the doors slam shut. Surely there is an engineer out there who can design an effective fire door that closes quietly. Likewise noise from above. We were frequently kept awake by footsteps across the floor of the room above. Sometimes more than just occasional – it was at times relentless through the night! Fortunately our neighbours only turned their television on once – but that was loud and intrusive. For a number of years they advertised with the claim “A good night’s sleep – guaranteed”. Although rather lower key these days they still use that slogan. What they mean by it is not made clear – if they can guarantee it why don’t they do it. If they can’t, they should not be saying they can.

Great sized room, clean well presented
