Helston hotel

Its a Premier Inn just as you would expect really. I had a couple of issues that were dealt with proficiently and Larry was a stand out employee. All in all this may be my best ever PI stay.

Room comfortable but needed revamping which I believe is being done. Prewarned that there was work going on but we didn't really hear anything. Ate breakfast and dinner at the adjoining pub. Food acceptable but very few staff and building in a complete state of disrepair inside and out. The outside area was littered with cigarette ends and rubbish. There were weeds everywhere and lots of brambles growing over the steps. I am aware that it is closing soon and changes are being made but the impression was that nobody cared about the appearance and service given to the public. We had a good stay and were aware of the changes being made. Hopefully when the building work is finished the whole experience will be much better.

Room better than some others in Cornwall. A bit tired in places, quiet room but No opening window so feels a bit stuffy but Aircon. But I must say it's unsettlingly to no if a fire outside my door I couldn't escape. But nice view tho. Avoid the restaurant it's not great, and some staff grumpy (Not all). Food under cooked so cancelled meal deal. .

Stayed here to attend family party. Hotel could do with refurbishment, but the friendly and helpful staff compensate for this. The pub on site is good for breakfast and usual type of pub chain main meals are ok.

Awful. The room smelt of urine, but even worse, if that's possible, was the lack of food. A sign greets you at the restaurant for breakfast "Apologies...due to delivery issues we are currently out of the following items: Pancakes, blueberry muffins, Pain au Chocolat, Granola, white bread, Black pudding, hash browns, bananas, fruit salad is limited". WHITE BREAD! The dinner menu is heavily restricted, we were handed a piece of A4 paper rather than a menu. Really sad. The staff were friendly, and not at all surprised when we asked for a refund.
