Helston hotel

I have stayed in lots of premier inns but unfortunately this one is tired and needs investment the bedroom is nowhere the standard of any premier inn I have stay in before, the curtains was hanging off as the curtains hooks was missing the window frame was filthy and had been repaired and just left with big pieces chopped out. The cieling had damp areas and the whole bedroom room and bathroom both needed completely updating to a standard we come to expect from premier inns. Unfortunately the restaurant next to the hotel is worse (I am lead to believe it shuts for a refurbishment at the end of September) which is great for anyone using the restaurant in the future but presently I would suggest it's a embarrassment for premier inns, going forward and for the customer using this restaurant up to the refurbishment the whole building needs a deep clean inside and out, the chairs and the carpets are filthy, the outside seating area needs completely jet washing, what was strange during our visit the gardeners turn up to tender the gardens, so someone is managing this hotel, my overall feelings is this hotel is not receiving any investment and is now very tired and needs a uplift, the staff are very friendly and working very hard and doing there best with a poor product, even thou the breakfast was very good and I would also add the restaurant was always short staffed, and shut most night around 10.00 pm. If this hotel and restaurant are due a refurbishment then I would suggest the location and setting with the staff we met would bring this hotel back to a great standard, and unfortunately if Premier inns decide not to invest then what I have seen suggests it will fall by the wayside as it can only get worse.

Very goid stay reception was very helpful and perlite the rooms were clean and tidy Value for money all good location was very good

Usual standard of bed etc Bathroom skirting boards thick with dust Big winter quiet for a hot summer made for an uncomfortable night of in out in out Air con is great and we had a fan Can’t complain as it was a good stay and a nice place Our room was very dark in the morning and the window had shrubbery blocking the light so tricky to put makeup on but I would stay again I would ask for a walk in shower as the baths are very deep and difficult to get in and out of at my age (knees) bath is also very slippy

Another comfortable stay at a Premier Inn. A friendly and efficient welcome, clean and comfortable room, a goodnight's sleep before work the next day and an onsuite restaurant if needed. Easy to park outside. Good wifi inside.

We stay at many Premier inns and this one was very good. Rooms were spotless and reception were very good especially the gentleman. Parking was good and the hotel is positioned well for tourists. Breakfast as always was very good.. We stayed for evening meals. And nice to see allergen awareness is taken seriously. On the first evening we had the early deal before 6 and this was fine as was the service but it was quiet. The next evening we went later as we had been out touring. We used the meal deal of breakfast , a two course meal and drink for 26 99 per person. The food was fine but we waited with others for an hour for our main course then another 30 minutes to receive our dessert. No fault of the few staff who were there who worked hard but there were just not enough staff for the amount of customers. This made it stressful as customers kept asking how much longer the wait was and there were a young family who had been waiting 90 minutes and the children were running in and out. If the staffing situation was sorted it have made it a perfect stay .
