Warrington (M6/J21) hotel

The hotel is unusual and does not conform to standard Premier Inn layout. Many of the rooms are outdoors although, unlike many Premier Inn hotels, the area immediately outside the hotel is wonderful with a canal and towpath. I, personally, didn’t like the room outside as it made the room smaller and the front door takes you directly outside. As the owners of Premier Inn are currently closing their Beefeater and Brewer’s Fayre restaurant brands, some of which are being converted to in-house restaurants, they said that they’ve lost many staff who didn’t want uncertainty. This meant that the Brewer’s Fayre has a pared down menu and the food wait was over 40 minutes. We were told that this was one of the restaurants that was being brought in-house so things should improve. Front desk staff were wonderful and really friendly and helpful.

As a result of a company training course, I’ve been staying at this Premier Inn for the last few months, so I’ve had plenty of time to get to know the hotel and its staff. The rooms are comfortable and well furnished, and even throughout the recent heatwave, the staff did their utmost to keep us comfortable, providing fans for all the rooms. The location is also very convenient, just off Junction 21 of the M6 northbound, and there is ample parking on site. After such a long stay, my colleagues and I have worked our way through almost every item on the menu. There’s a good variety of food, and everything we’ve tried has been tasty. However, it’s really the staff who have made such a long stay so pleasant. Everyone has been lovely and welcoming, particularly Anne in the mornings and Sandie in the evenings, who have both been incredibly helpful and kind throughout our stay. A huge thank you to all the staff here for making what could have been a rather long stay such a pleasant one. 😊

We were served by Sandie in the restaurant and she was really lovely and looked after us so well. Excellent service and a real credit to the team!
