"Worst meals ever..."
Normally i would not recite just to moan, but we paid for 2 adult meal deals totalling £60. Dinner was accectable (assum inn g you like your food cremated) but the breakfast was awful...it took 1.5 hours to get a cooked breakfast where you could only have scrambled eggs.
A 90 minute wait inn a mostly empty restraunt is shocking.
I (politely) complained afterwards only to be fobbed off and told they would not refund my money.

"Great hotel poor support"
Excellent hotel facilities and staff let down by the beefeater restaurant and bar with staff shortages and late opening early closing also food was ok but staff were under pressure

"Nice hotel… but the beefeater is closing."
So this is a nice hotel, and it is situated near an alternative pub to get food (15min walk) but the Beefeater it’s attached to is closing and they don’t have enough staff to take walk-ins. It’s a shame but if you’re wanting to eat close to the hotel there is another pub called the Queen of Hearts which is a short walk or drive away which is actually nicer.

Great staff! I was there for a week with a team, working in the area, and the staff were really kind and helpful. And when I missed the signs saying you had to register your vehicle, and ended up with 5 x parking tickets, they couldn't have been more helpful on the phone getting them all cancelled. A great team highly recommended! Jack

"Avoid in warm weather"
First, the good points. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the food was plentiful at breakfast time.
The bad points: we stayed during a heatwave and the lack of ventilation or air conditioning made this absolutely stifling hot even at night. The hotel provided a desk fan and we opened the window but it was still 27 degrees in the room overnight which made for pretty terrible sleep. This really needs updating to air conditioning to be suitable for any season other than winter.
The restaurant seemed to be understaffed which meant delays getting served and some of the things we ordered for breakfast never materialised. I'm used to buffet breakfast when the hotel is busy but they were cooking to order which I'm sure added to the staffing issues.
All in all, if I was in this part of the world in the depths of winter I'd risk staying here again but otherwise I'd give it a miss
