Runcorn hotel

Great staff! I was there for a week with a team, working in the area, and the staff were really kind and helpful. And when I missed the signs saying you had to register your vehicle, and ended up with 5 x parking tickets, they couldn't have been more helpful on the phone getting them all cancelled. A great team highly recommended! Jack

First, the good points. The room was clean, the staff were friendly, and the food was plentiful at breakfast time. The bad points: we stayed during a heatwave and the lack of ventilation or air conditioning made this absolutely stifling hot even at night. The hotel provided a desk fan and we opened the window but it was still 27 degrees in the room overnight which made for pretty terrible sleep. This really needs updating to air conditioning to be suitable for any season other than winter. The restaurant seemed to be understaffed which meant delays getting served and some of the things we ordered for breakfast never materialised. I'm used to buffet breakfast when the hotel is busy but they were cooking to order which I'm sure added to the staffing issues. All in all, if I was in this part of the world in the depths of winter I'd risk staying here again but otherwise I'd give it a miss

Enjoyed stay. Good choice of breakfast in Beefeater next door. Special mention to Myles on Reception who went above and beyond after midnight to book in unhappy family who had to transfer from a nearby dire motel.

Very good hotel was clean comfortable and location was excellent for where we needed to go. Very friendly staff and service.

Run-down room, very stinky and old decor with occasional mould. I would not stay here again. The staff were helpful and friendly, but I cannot say anything good about the room.
