Northwich (Sandiway) hotel

We stayed at the Premier Inn Sandiway for two nights while attending a wedding at Delamere Manor. As one of the closest hotels to the venue, it was an obvious choice for our group, and we ended up booking around 10 rooms. Before arriving, I have to admit I was a little concerned after reading some of the TripAdvisor reviews, which didn't paint the most flattering picture. However, having already booked, we decided to keep an open mind, and we were pleasantly surprised. Yes, the hotel is a little dated and could certainly benefit from refurbishment. Air conditioning would be a welcome addition, especially during warmer weather. That said, for a short stay it was absolutely fine. The rooms were clean, the beds were exceptionally comfortable, there were fans provided in the rooms, and the windows could be opened, which helped keep the rooms comfortable. What really makes this hotel stand out is the staff. Gwyneth gave us a warm welcome when we arrived late in the evening and couldn't have been more helpful. During our stay, Bridget and Mary on reception were equally friendly, professional and accommodating. They are a real credit to Premier Inn. In fact, I suspect many of the positive guest experiences are down to the staff, who undoubtedly deal with any concerns and queries with patience and professionalism. Premier Inn should take note of this and invest in both the property and the team. I'd be interested to know where Sandiway sits on Premier Inn's refurbishment programme, as the excellent staff deserve facilities that match the service they provide. We had dinner and breakfast at the Blue Cap pub next door, part of the Greene King chain. The food was good, the staff were lovely, and we particularly enjoyed taking part in the Thursday night pub quiz, which was great fun. Sandiway also makes an excellent base for exploring the area, although a car is definitely recommended. Despite being close to major routes, the hotel was quiet throughout our stay. Overall, don't be put off by some of the reviews. If you're looking for a clean, comfortable , quiet and convenient place to stay near Delamere Manor, this Premier Inn does the job well, and the fantastic staff make all the difference. **Rating: 4/5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐**

From the check in to check out the staff were fab couldn’t do enough to help you the hotel itself I found it was a little dated but it has everything you need , wi-fi worked perfectly, there’s a vending machine if you need anything drinks or snacks, the breakfast was served next door in the pub which was made freshly to order and came out hot, we found the pub to be a bit pricey, but as we were only there a weekend it was fine. But the star of it all was Bridget on reception what a lovely lady so friendly (well all her team were) she definitely made our weekend stay the best. Nothing was to much trouble for her. Premier inn have definitely hit the jackpot with her.

Our sincere thanks to Bridget on reception and Steph on housekeeping who absolutely excelled in helping us visiting cycle tourers. These ladies are outstanding and our stay was made very comfortable.

Had a fabulous experience at the Premier Inn Northwich. Staff went out of their way to make our trip to Delamere forest the best it could be. Special mention to Bridget on reception and Steph the housekeeper! Be back again soon!!
