Crewe Central hotel

Such an amazing base for using the nearby station for away day trips. Cook to order breakfast, all you can eat, and not your typical hot food buffet. Alternative continental breakfast offered extensive choice. The staff in the hotel and eating blocks were very helpful. Informed of future changes, in that the food offerings will be in the same building as the hotel.

Fixed the loo or moved me. I asked at reception twice about the loo in my room - the flush was making a constant trickling running water noise. The sort of noise that would stop me from sleeping and isn't acceptable in a hotel room. I deliberately didn't touch the bed or kettle etc and went down to ask about swapping rooms. The receptionist came up, listened to the loo, flushed it, and said for me think about it. I'd already thought about it! I really didn't want to go and ask and felt quite awkward. So it wasn't nice to be made to feel like it wasn't a big deal when it's a constant noise from a broken toilet. I went to reception again later and asked again. He came and had a look, said he reckoned he could fix it. He went and got another man (I don't think they were in uniform, they might not have been a hotel employee?? Into my room) and they made the noise stop. It started again within a few mins, I hadn't even flushed the loo, it just restarted. I felt dismissed, and a little unsettled at having these blokes in my room, who weren't taking my concern seriously and I felt like they thought I was being silly. I raised it again in the morning when it was a different receptionist, and she was apologetic and took my room number to have someone look at it. Sadly this was after my disturbed night, so didn't do me any good.
