"Average"
Average premier inn. Friendly staff. Good location. Rooms excellent. The ambient lighting in the bathroom was excellent. Only thing. Public areas and corridors could be cleaner
"Not Disabled friendly"
Accessibility poor Maintenance poor. Took over 2 days to get a shower fixed that had pipe leaking badly, spraying water in face when using disabled shower seat. Bed much too low not able to get from wheelchair. Entrance to hotel, by wheelchair. Had to find somebody on every occasion to release lift which was only for 400mm. There is plenty of room to do away with lift and put wheelchair friendly ramp. Accessible rooms right at very back of hotel as far from entrance as possible. Breakfast. Bacon very rubbery and eggs broken, no scrambled eggs. What was very good staff helpful and friendly.
"Premier letdown"
Been to several premier inns but unfortunately I was disappointed with the quality of the rooms despite the recent upgrade. The room lacked places to put you clothes or items such as mobiles etc. the side tables had no drawers and although there were sockets on the wall under the TV there was no shelf to place items on while charging. . The room lacked wardrobes for putting clothes in. Shelves and hooks were the order of the day. This is a standard room although I was informed that the upgrades only differed by having a Mimi fridge and ironing board. The choice of food at the evening meal was poor and the gammon I had was to say the least tough It was clear that the hotel was short staffed due to the long wait for our meal considering it was quite empty when we were dining. Breakfast was ok but quite a queue for the toaster! The bed was comfortable but the duvet was way to heavy. Overpriced and disappointing. On a positive. I cannot fault the staff for their politeness and willingness to help.
"Recommend for a cheapish break"
Hotel good breakfast fab Excellent proximity to town centre only complaint it outside cleanliness let's it down looks like it needs a good clean
"A one night stay in a Premier plus room."
Stayed one night, in a Premier plus room, which was ideal for our needs. The room was nice and clean with air conditioning and a good shower. The bed was really comfortable resulting in a good nights sleep. Great location, close to the city centre and a short walk to the railway station, would stay again.
