    "Hot, stuffy and sleepless nights"
I’ll begin by saying that the staff were mostly very friendly and helpful (big shout out to Lydia) But - we’d booked to stay 3 nights and just couldn’t face staying the final night because it was SO UNBEARABLY HOT. It’s been warm out this week, but the room we were in the first night was a full 10°C hotter inside than it was outside (29.5°C at 11pm was not funny). For some reason, even with 3 fans going and the window open, the temperature just went up and up and up, even as it cooled off outside. In the morning, we asked to move to a ground floor room, and Lydia shuffled things about so as to oblige, but it was still exceptionally hot inside, when it wasn’t outside. The corridors were particularly sauna-like!! It says on the Premier Inn website that this hotel hasn’t got air con, which is fine… this is the UK, and we don’t expect it - but this was absolutely beyond just not air conned! (For context - we’d stayed in another premier inn 2 nights before which said the same - no air con - and had no issues with the temperature.) No sleep was had by anyone and so absolutely exhausted, we headed for home at 9pm on our 3rd night as the room temperature was going up again. Location wise it was good, although there weren’t enough parking spaces for everyone. Decor etc was nothing special - but that’s not why you stay in a Premier Inn, is it?! If they sorted the temperature issue, I’d happily go back, but as I have now clocked that there are reviews from 2022 highlighting the same issue, I guess we won’t be! (ie - it’s obviously something about the site/building itself rather than that we had an unusual experience!)
    "Needs work"
Parking and Reception were the best experience of our stay to be honest. Room temperature of 27oC with no AC, had to sleep with the dustiest fan I’ve ever seen on all night. Also the noise (from the squeaky flooring) from the room / corridor above was horrendous, thankfully it stopped at 9:30pm otherwise I would have asked to have been move. But the noise came back at 6:30am in the morning which was not nice!
    "Great staff!"
We stopped off here for a couple of nights to break up our journey home from South Wales. It was fine overall like many other premier inns but just wanted to give a shout out to the staff on duty at breakfast. Like others have said, with the pub next door being closed they had to use a small room for breakfast so it was essential to book a time. I'm hoping I got their names right but Wendy was absolutely amazing at breakfast, she never stopped! She made sure everyone was seated and although it was busy there was never a queue, she was constantly replenishing the buffet, clearing tables etc and did it all with a smile - it must be a hard job trying to keep everyone happy at breakfast being such a small space. Lydia was helping out too and equally did a great job. So thank you to you both! Just make sure you book a breakfast slot!!
    "No food options"
Disappointed there was no food option, you can book food and save money at the beginning of your check-in online, but we didn't think we would need food and would decide nearer the time and pay the extra if we needed to, however when we got there we were told that is no full option unless you pre-booked because you did not pre-booked there is no evening mail and there's no breakfast, very disappointing as when we went past the restaurant at both mail times it was just about empty
    "Family stopover"
Stop off on a longer trip. Easy to find. Great welcome Very fresh breakfast and plenty off it. The staff were very friendly staff
