Peterborough North hotel

To shorten the whole story we arrived in the evening to be told the dinner menu was not available but were given alternative venues to eat. The breakfast was the worst i have ever seen eggs not cooked and the presentation was very poor. Then the chef walked out in a tirade of language in front of guests.

Late check in available and hotel was quiet, clean.and comfortable. Breakfast is order from menu and was also very nice.

The hotel and rooms are fine, what you expect from a Premier Inn, spacious, clean, quiet, air con etc. But the adjacent Thyme restaurant which is the old Paul Pry pub, oh dear. Grotty, grubby and seriously needs a refurb. And for the evening meal there was only 1 member of staff on duty who greeted and sat customers, served drinks, took orders, served food, cleared tables-she was run ragged, literally. She worked her butt off. Premier Inn Directors driving round in your Mercedes and Porches, hang your head. Putting profit above the wellbeing of staff. Poor lady was under so much pressure and stress, but she was amazing still.

Stayed here last week for the first time in many years. Last time I came the hotel was run down and scruffy but I was glad to find it has undergone a refurb and everything was good. Rooms were clean and tidy and enjoyed a good nights sleep. Not much in the nearby area but there is a Premier Inn restaurant on site which did not use.

Coors is crap but everything else and the staff is brilliant. The room is lovely but a bit far! Aircon is a blessing.
