Peterborough North hotel

Refurbished room, nicely decorated with a comfy bed and immaculate bathroom. Very helpful staff. We had a drink in the bar and the lady was very friendly and helpful.

I was in one of the refurbished rooms. I am not a fan! Whne you're travelling for work and need to work from your room, the tiny tables are useless compared to the proper desks that were in before! There was also a smell, possible from the new carpet, but as I have rhinitis, it made me ill, thankfully I had a nasal spray and albas oil with me which helped. The water pressure in the shower lives up to Premier Inn's depressingly poor standard. The room was too hot, there was an error on the air con display, so that made for pretty uncomfortable nights. Could have done with a fan, though I've ordered a couple of travel fans that I'll have to take with me on future trips just in case. What really left a lasting impression was the breakfast - I don't usually bother these days but I thought I'd treat myself... However, it was cold! Really inexcusable! However, I couldn't see the waitress and didn't have time to loiter, so left it, and didn't bother risking breakfast at all on the second day, so wasted that money.

Rushed in for evening meal at 7.30 not even time to have a shower after manual work. Staff were busy chatting to other customers even though there was just 4 customers at the time we were in their eating. Was not asked about desert so we did not have any and left for the room. Room was clean and beds were comfortable.

It little tired as it's undergoing refurbishment. The staff were pleasant & you can get food from the attached restaurant.

The hotel was easy to find with great parking facilities and well lit at night. The receptionist on the evening was lovely and our room was clean and had everything we needed (some premier inns are quite basic) Sadly the sleep was interrupted by noisy child guests screaming all night. When we communicated this in the morning, the lovely lady (BEV) on reception couldn’t have been more courteous. She listened to our concerns, showed empathy and gave us advice as to what to do if we ever experienced this again in a Premier Inn. (Such as changing rooms for example.) Because of how professional and friendly Bev was, my stress levels were much calmer leaving the desk than when arriving! I can’t speak highly enough of her. Thank you. More
