Peterborough (Hampton) hotel

Had several business stays at this hotel recently. I understand the ongoing changes but the last 2 nights have been unacceptably hot. I understand there is no aircon but when the outside temperature is 12° and you room wont cool below 29.5° there is a serious problem. I went to the desk at 1am and explained. The teammember offered cold water and a, second fan. He never brought the promised fan. So I had to work with no sleep for 2 days then drive 5 hours home. Thats unacceptable. Id have been more comfortable and bette roff sleeping in my car!

Free parking Convenient location to travel from Exceptional staff, who were welcoming, professional, and incredibly helpful. Lovely, clean room, with a comfortable bed. Great breakfast which was reasonably priced, had lots of choice, which was buffet style, & all you can eat.

There is no air con so we all had a bad night sleep, the ashtrays outside were full to the brim with cigarette ends and empty cups and wine bottles. Worst premier inn i have stayed in

Hotel is well located, rooms are larger than I expected and staff were all really friendly and helpful. It was really hot when we visited and there is no air conditioning in the rooms but the staff had provided sheets, fans and cold water bottles to help us be more comfortable.

Placed on the second floor which was fine with us until we opened the room door and were hit with the heat . The wall temp gauge said 31, the window opens only a few inches for so called safety , there was however a fan . We went out for the evening and came back at 1pm - the room was still 29.5 despite being 16 outside . The window did not let the air exchange and the fan just moved ihot air about . Needless to say we had an awful night . It wasn’t even in the 30’s outside that day . This is not acceptable - there’s not a lot that can be done unless you are pre warned, if the windows opened enough it would have been fine but they won’t take the locks off as it is for safety - what a world we live in . It would certainly be unsuitable if a young couple had a baby or there were elderly people in the room. Breakfast service and food was pretty good , the guy at reception didn’t book our table even though he asked what time we wanted when we paid. This caused a bit of a problem as it was very busy with public bookings. The staff sorted it though and were helpful .
