Peterborough (Hampton) hotel

Great hotel, been there a couple of times and staff friendly and courteous and very clean. Room excellent and facilities Great, if you want more tea coffee or milk available at reception, just help yourself. Food very good--dinner and breakfast very good. For value for money can't beat it.

the workers here (e.g. Brett) are good and very helpful. i am impressed by Brett’s helpfulness. the room is clean and well-prepared. however, i have been surrounded by a family featuring truly obnoxious people. the doors are opening and closing *constantly. this never stops. the people in this family are conducting their lives and their conversations in the corridor directly outside of my room. i don’t want to hear about their lives and trivia etc. yet i feel like they are /inside/ of the room with me. how on earth do these people think that this is reasonable behaviour — or do they simply not care? for me this is like a kind of torture. i am finding it impossible to relax in the room and certainly cannot do any work. this has been an absolutely dreadful experience.

I wanted to take a moment to recognise Victoria in the bar/restaurant, who was absolutely outstanding during my visit. From the moment I arrived, she was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely cared about making sure everything was just right. Victoria is one of the most polite and professional members of staff I’ve come across in a long time. Even when things were busy, she remained calm, efficient, and always had a smile on her face. Nothing was too much trouble, and she made the whole experience feel relaxed and enjoyable. What really stood out was her genuine care and attention to detail. She checked in at the right moments, made sure everything was perfect, and created a really positive and welcoming atmosphere in the bar/restaurant. It’s not often you come across service like this – Victoria is a real credit to the team and made my visit far more enjoyable than expected. I wouldn’t hesitate to return, and that’s largely thanks to her.

Our staff recently stayed at this hotel and overall, their experience was very pleasant. The majority of the staff were welcoming, attentive, and consistently treated me with respect. From the front desk team to the housekeeping staff, everyone was professional, friendly, and eager to help. Their positive attitude truly made my stay comfortable and enjoyable. However, I feel compelled to mention one particular manager, an East European short female whose name I unfortunately did not catch. The interaction with her was extremely disappointing and stood in stark contrast to the rest of the team. She was rude, condescending, and attempted to be intimidating during what should have been a simple and respectful conversation. Her communication style was especially concerning — she seemed unable to speak without raising her voice, which came across as aggressive and highly unprofessional. There was a clear lack of customer care, patience, and basic courtesy in the way she handled the situation. Rather than listening or trying to resolve concerns constructively, she chose to respond in a manner that felt dismissive and unnecessarily confrontational. It is unfortunate that one individual’s behavior detracted from what was otherwise a very positive stay. I sincerely hope management addresses this, as the rest of the staff demonstrate the level of professionalism and respect that guests expect and appreciate.

An excellent Premier Inn to stay at. Staff were very helpful and welcoming. The Brewers Fayre Inn attached was excellent for food. Good choice of menu, pleasant staff and quick service.
