Cambridge East (Newmarket Road) hotel

The premier plus room needs updating, badly stained carpet also table had chips out of it, and why oh why do they only put 1 comfy chair in a double room, on a better note, the staff very friendly, restaurants staff, Raheem and Kayed, very professional, polite and hard working, both, a credit to your company

The room I got was really nice for a short stay. Nothing bad to say about it. The portions in the restaurant are smaller than the price would suggest for my liking but it was still a nice experience overall thanks to the waiter, Raheem.

As someone who works in hospitality, I was so impressed watching Raheem single-handedly manage 8-9 full tables in the restaurant. He took orders, brought out drinks, and served food and mains completely on time with excellent service and a fantastic attitude. Exceptional work under high pressure he is a credit and a massive asset to the Premier Inn Newmarket team!

Fabulous check in with Kim at reception. We booked the premium room and it’s def worth the little extra. Room 304. Clean, great size room. Downside overlooked busy road, air con goes off at random times, car park costs £11.80 which I thought was pricey and annoyed to realise this morning we only had one set of towels despite two of us staying in the room!!! The bed also wasn’t the usual comfortable one and the sheet didn’t even cover the bed! Not great house keeping.

We've stayed at this hotel several times over the last few years. The last couple of times have been less than satisfactory: low staff levels, poor breakfast, iffy wi-fi - but this time the place seems to have upped its game. The colleague on the check-in desk was courteous, efficient and helpful. The room was quiet and clean; the wi-fi worked properly first time; and the Continental breakfast was well stocked, unlike last time. It's a chain hotel, so we know we're not getting any frills (the toilet paper is woeful), but if they can keep up this standard then I'll have no complaints.
