"Good room in a distinctly average hotel"
Good: Modern hotel, smart (though small) room, good air con, comfortable bed, good shower. Liked the charging points beside the bed. Bad: It seems to be on quite a pikey estate with a tatty burger van belching fumes opposite the front door - it just felt like a weird choice to put a modern hotel on a council estate. Quite a lot of traffic noise, given it's not THAT close to the main road. Car park didn't feel very secure, and there was a long walk round the side of the building to get from the car to Reception, carrying all your bags. Extractors in the bathrooms were hopeless - it was like a swamp in there even after one shower, with water running down the walls. Breakfast service was very average: we arrived and there were six dirty tables and one available one, and the situation didn't get any better while we were there that day or the following one. Buffet items were slow to be replenished, and the set-up meant that people queueing to collect their toast were in the way of people trying to grab other continental breakfast items. It felt generally under-staffed, even though it wasn't hugely busy on either morning. And generally the staff were less friendly than usual at a Premier Inn, so maybe they were just too busy on the couple of days we were there?
"Nice Inn but spoiled by shocking service at breakfast..."
My wife and I stayed here on 19th July... The inn itself is well situated and clean... Would have given it a 5 but for the shocking service at breakfast time .. We went down for breakfast at 10am , service till 11, I had to wait 5 mins on fried eggs which was ok , but behind me was my wife , who waited over 19 mins on the bacon being refreshed , she wasn't the only one as another 6 / 8 guests behind her also waiting , by the time it came out , most of the other food was luke warm if not cold , I approached the manager to say it was unacceptable , only to be told the chef was under a bit of pressure that day,... The hotel was fairly busy and the staff should be well aware of how busy it was going to be , The service was really unacceptable, if you pay for a service, u expect to receive it and the full range of food advertised . One lady came down at 1040ish ,picked up plate , looked alo g what food was there, stood and waited 5 mins , then gave up , put her plate down n had a coffee... This service just was not good enough...
"A really great stay!"
We had a great four night stay here last week. Lovely Reception staff, Rachel was so friendly! Our Premier Plus room was clean and comfortable and met all our needs. Housekeeping do a great job! Restaurant staff were very helpful with my gluten allergy. I only caught the names of Abdul and Juni, but thank you all for ensuring I made safe food choices. We went to get in our car to go out one day and noticed someone had thrown all their rubbish out of their car, littering the car park. I wasnt sure if there was broken glass amongst it, so mentioned it to staff member Joel who happened to be outside. He was so efficient and was immediately on to it with dustpan and brush, clearing it up! Lovely to witness staff taking pride in their place of work. Well done! Thank you everyone for a lovely stay, we look forward to returning!
"A very relaxing stay."
The staff were very helpful and welcoming, from checking in to eating in the restaurant, room was very clean n comfortable, good parking . We stayed here for 2 nights and on the 2nd night when we had dinner in the restaurant Jinu remembered what we drank and offered a really personal experience.
"Nice hotel"
Nice hotel with easy access form from the motorway and frequent bus service into Cambridge a 5 min walk from the hotel. Room was clean and well maintained. Special mention to Sree in the restaurant he worked tirelessly and always with a smile.
