"Unexpected guest in the middle of the night!"
We had 3 rooms. In the middle of the night a male person entered the room of one of our party, these were 2 women. The man apologised and left, they think he was something to do with the hotel. Nevertheless they were understandably shaken. They reported this the next morning to the reception staff who said they would investigate. This is not something you want in the middle of the night, in light of recent events of men entering hotel rooms at Travelodge.

"Birthday treat"
Lovely location right on the lake, lots of car parking. Friendly reception. I had to book two rooms as my son is too old for a family room!!!! We have one booked for may at Travelodge tho.
Room was a good size but needs a small table and another comfy chair to relax and watch the good sized TV in. Also water glasses needed, we had to use mugs.
There's a pub just next door, handy for a cheap meal but we had booked into Harvester, only 5 minutes away.
Good nights sleep on comfy bed.
Very good breakfast, all you could need, poached eggs excellent. Decaffeinated Cappuccino would have made it perfect.
Plenty of extra t bags and coffee if needed.
I would definitely return.

"Great staff make this hotel a little gem"
Comfortable rooms, lovely walks around the lake, very friendly staff and a great choice at breakfast. We always stay here when visiting family.

"Its seems you have to pass an endurance test to get a few small cartons of milk"
The hotel itself feels tired and in need of significant attention, with a generally dingy atmosphere that does not reflect a welcoming environment.
However, the most concerning aspect of my stay was the standard of customer service at reception. I had an uncomfortable and frankly embarrassing interaction with a receptionist, who spoke to me in a dismissive and discourteous manner in front of other guests.
I simply asked for some milk to accompany the tea and coffee provided. While there were sachets of coffee, tea, and sugar available, there was no milk. I was told they had run out, yet there were clearly visible supplies behind the desk. When I queried this, I was told the milk was “for the rooms.” I explained that I was a guest staying in one of those rooms and provided my room number, but the request was still refused.
It left me questioning why, as a paying guest on a two-night stay, I was effectively being restricted to one drink per day when there was a self-service display available. The interaction felt unnecessarily obstructive and lacking in basic customer care.
What made the situation more disappointing was witnessing another guest being given milk shortly afterwards without issue. This inconsistency only reinforced the impression of poor judgement and unprofessional conduct.
As a company director, I understand the importance of customer experience. Observing a member of staff disengaged, using their phone, and seemingly unwilling to assist added to the frustration. Customer service should never feel like a confrontation, particularly for guests who may already be unwell or simply seeking a restful break.
Overall, this experience fell well below expectations and significantly impacted what should have been a relaxing stay.

"Lovely as always.."
We visit Furzton Lakes 3-4 times a year and love it. Definitely recommend a visit.7 minutes drive to the MK shopping center. Perfect for a coffee and then lunch. Then at the Premier inn book in our car reg and have a relaxing walk around the lake. Ater check in at 3pm and unpacked had a very welcomed drink in the adjoining Hungry Horse restaurant and bar. Great to just walk downstairs and have a tasty meal. Breakfast next morning is tasty , though this visit the bacon was far too well done. My poached eggs were perfect. As always. We will return !!
