Milton Keynes South West (Furzton Lake) hotel

My and my toddler stayed here for what was meant to be 2 nights, I stayed only one and bailed on a family gathering to go home as I couldnt stay another night. Upon arrival on my crutch I was informed there was no elevator. The website has this no where, in fact it suggests the entire hotel is fully accessible. Ive double checked since and the only place where it says there is no elevator is here; trip adviser. For someone with mobility issues i dont require a fully accesible room which is why i didnt book one, but i do check the accessible access online and to not have this information is misleading. The person at reception offered us a smaller room, with 1 bed and not 2 on the first floor rather than the second. It still meant stairs and it then meant less space. I declined and asked twice for assistance with my bags. I could tell there was hesitation like they werent allowed to help but even if id accepted the smaller room I'd still have needed help. The room was not the cleanest and boiling hot with a fan that barely worked and was extremely loud being the only thing to try and cool the room. You had to squeeze into the gap between the toilet and the shower screen, which didnt move, to close the bathroom door to even be able to reveal the gap to enter the shower. I stayed one night, packed up the next day and left, when I stated I was checking out early i was simply handed a box to put the key card in and the staff continued their conversation.

Nice hotel and a lovely breakfast selection

Booked my room in the morning, arrived at 9pm to find my room had not been made, to make it worse I had to go to reception get all the bedding which took several trips and then had to make my own bed, was offered breakfast but told I had to eat and leave within 20mins

The accessable room we were allocated did not have a walk in shower or wet room which I believe is a must for this type of room to be accessible.

Lovely hotel. Very friendly staff. The added touch of being able to purchase duck food (£1 for charity) for the kids to take over the lake was lovely. We were on the ground floor next to the beer garden (Hungry Horse pub located next door) but we didnt experience any noise, even though the pub was super busy as the hotel was fully booked for the MK Marathon Weekend. Would definitely stay here again!
