"Disappointing too say the least"
Receptionist checked us in via the automatic check-in machine which was helpful but could have been happier. Room bit dated and could do with a good clean/touch up. We returned after our night out to grab last orders at the bar but was told its closed due to the beer taps being cleaned. This was 22:40 hrs and we stated so to the barman but he insisted it was closed. This was then confirmed by another gentleman who quite loudly shouted from the breakfast area "The bars closed" so we left disappointed and empty handed. We have stayed here several times now and have noticed the steady decline so won't be returning.
"Ok stay. Be advised nightclub behind hotel which is loud."
Ideal location, right opposite the Xscape centre/restaurants/cinema etc. It's self check in kiosks in the lobby, but there was an employee about who came over and asked if I needed help and then proceeded to take over before I even had a chance to answer. The front of house staff were polite but lacked warmth and personality, all but an indian man, who was very pleasant and served at the bar with a smile and polite conversation. And one of the cleaners said hello when we were checking out. Behind the hotel is a nightclub, which is open until 3.30am and please bear in mind that you will hear the base and boom boom boom until they close. We stayed on the 5th floor and thank god I had cotton wool for my ears. The restaurant is very spacious, but if you only want to have a drink in the bar, there are only three tables, not very inviting. Breakfast time was empty, the food was ok, not very warm, but edible. I did request a fan for my room on the Saturday morning, it never arrived to our room.
"Needs a good clean and some TLC"
For a relatively new building it is in need of a good clean and some repairs. The staff are very nice, the food is average, the bar closes too early but the cleanliness is just not up to scratch!
"Customer service poor"
Normally a good experience at the premier inn in Milton Keynes however the service at check-in experience was very disappointing. Long queues, down stairs facilities closed and overall first impression wasn’t good. Hopefully this is a one off by to be honest I have experienced this before at this hotel.
"No particularly good."
Bed base was marked with what looked like shoe scuffs. Bar staff in evening was not trained and was left to manage alaone, during a busy period.
