"Milton Keynes avebury awful"
Room was not ready when I arrived so given and alternative which was unsuitable as I have access needs. Only one lift worked and other broken down frequently and had to wait 20 mins for it to reset each time. Booked evening meal yet no chef turns up. Having to chase them up for refund of meals and to make complaints with no real apology is terrible customer service. Would not stay here again.
"Late review but not forgotten"
Keep meaning to write this review as the service and friendliness was what made this stay. Thank you to Sam the manager on duty when I stayed on a busy festival weekend. Nothing was too much trouble and carried out in an elegant professional way. Must mention the friendly Kwabena who was extremely helpful to me and my friends. Thanks again
"Disappointing Stay – Misleading Parking Advice and Poor Room Standards"
I stayed at the Milton Keynes Theatre District Premier Inn from 9–11 August 2025 with my husband, and sadly, the experience didn’t meet expectations. On arrival, the hotel car park was full. A staff member advised that most guests would check out Sunday morning and we’d only need to pay for 1–2 hours in the nearby council car park. Based on this, we paid £4.90 for Saturday evening. However, despite moving the car to the Premier Inn car park before 10am Sunday, we were charged £18.40 for a full day—contrary to the advice given. The room itself was disappointing: Bathroom surfaces had visible make-up marks, suggesting poor cleaning. The double bed was zip-linked and uncomfortable, with no prior warning. The bedside console was rigid and awkwardly placed. Most concerning, the duvet cover had a large gaping hole—unacceptable for any hotel standard. Additionally, one of the lifts was still out of service—something I’d noticed in previous reviews. It’s frustrating that this hasn’t been resolved, especially given the impact on accessibility and convenience. I’ve submitted a formal complaint requesting a refund for the parking charges and an apology for the room conditions. I hope Premier Inn takes steps to improve service clarity, room quality, and maintenance. I usually rely on Premier Inn for consistent standards, but this stay was frustrating and far below what I expect.
"Warm welcome, great customer service and excellent location - brilliant!"
Apart from the fact that we love Premier Inn hotels as a rule, we specifically chose this one because, as well as being in walking distance of the various activities we had booked (SnoZone, Vertigo VR, Cineworld), we were travelling with our teenage nephew who needed his own room, and my research had identified that this Premier Inn MK hotel can provide interconnecting rooms if you ring in advance. I made the booking a couple of weeks ago. Once I finally got through (which took a few calls) I spoke to someone who I thought was based at the hotel, completed my booking and they then did what all that was needed to confirm the allocation of rooms that were interconnecting for our stay. Yesterday we arrived at the hotel for our stay just before check-in time, and met the very cheerful and welcoming Kwabena at the check-in desk. He proved to be a godsend, because it transpired I'd spoken to someone at the Premier Inn central team (even though the telephone message stated I was through to this hotel), and somehow though there were notes about the interconnecting room request it hadn't been fully relayed to the team at the hotel. (On a side note: this has happened to me before: Premier Inn Central, please get your act together because your local teams work really hard and poor communication and mistakes like this make their jobs even harder!) Thankfully, Kwabena was able to sort everything out perfectly, and briefed his colleague Tony to unlock the interconnecting doors so all was well, we got our comfy bedrooms and were on time for all our booked activities. Our rooms had all the facilities we needed (particularly grateful for a hairdryer!) and it goes without saying that we had a good night's sleep as expected. We didn't eat dinner there, but did have breakfast, which is another thing that Premier Inn do really well. Even at 10am there was plenty of choice for full and continental breakfast, all of it well laid out/cooked and tasty. Nice to see the inclusion of alternative items (e.g vegan) for anyone needing those. We were warmly welcomed by Kwabena again when we signed in for breakfast, and I have to commend his customer service skills - he had his eyes everywhere, ready to support and even anticipate customer needs (such as a young family who arrived with a baby and toddler and needed help with a high chair). The previous day I'd mentioned how helpful he was to a colleague - who then remarked that yes, the staff all thought he was great. This the kind of thing that makes all the difference to where we choose to stay. Plenty of folk might complain about things beyond the control of the staff (like the fact that one lift was out of service) but the staff themselves were doing their best to accommodate and help minimise this inconvenience whilst also doing their day jobs. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!
"Good location"
Good location, friendly staff. Parking and breakfast awful. There needs to be more concession parking available and not just two rows especially when the hotel is charging premium rates. We pre paid for breakfast and on arrival for breakfast no food was available, they know how many guest have pre paid so should cater for enough food, whilst the lady was cooking more food, it is not good enough having one item ready and the waiting 10/15 mins for additional items.
