High Wycombe / Beaconsfield hotel

Booked as a stopover on the way to London from the north, quiet location away from the road and not far from restaurants where choice was better than on site - particularly Beaconsfield. We did have a quick walk round high Wycombe I wouldn’t bother again! This Premier Inn is in need of a makeover, the Carpets in the common area and paint Work is shabby and same in the bedroom. The fan in the bathroom was very noisy so he had to go to the toilet in the dark as you couldn’t switch it on, the bed wasn’t a king size like other Premier Inns so my husband who is tall hung off the bottom. The Wifi was also poor unfortunately, and there was a lampshade broken in the bedroom. However, the hotel was warm and the bed comfortable and the TV worked fine.

Terrible car park, draughty reception with outdated and torn seats, no directions to room in a rabbit warren layout hotel, dirty and shabby corridors, freezing cold room, heating wouldnt work, mouldy single glazed windows, noisy and housekeeping walked into my room without knocking while i was in the bath with the door open.

Probably the worst premier inn I have stayed at, and I have probably been to around 40 or 50 of them! Bed comfy as usual, room was ok as usual, bathroom ok as usual. Outside of the bedroom though it was so run down, but I guess that had recognised this as works going on. All staff o came across were lovely, reception and in the restaurant/bar. Did not eat there as so run down and dirty looking, only 3 other customers seen in there on this Sunday night.

One of the worst Premier Inns we have stayed in. Thank god we were only there for one night. Remote control for TV didn't work, pillows were awful and the USB sockets were useless. The one beside my bed was a complete waste of time as the actual usb port behind the metal facia was so squint I couldn't even get the USB in. There was only one actual proper plug and because all the USB sockets were useless we had to try to charge our phones and earphones across the other side of the room taking it in turns to get everything charged for the next day. Breakfast was supposed to open at 7am on a Sunday and we were on a tight schedule and had to leave by 7.30, however half the hot breakfast food was missing and didn't actually come out until after 7.15....even then there wasnt an egg to be seen! The female restaurant toilets were disgusting and clearly hadn't been cleaned from the previous night. We couldn't even complain to anyone at reception as there was never anyone there so if I were you I'd book elsewhere!

The hotel room was comfortable, but the evening meal at the restaurant was without doubt the worst I have had in a long time. Wrong dishes served, cold, semi-cooked, not as described and missing half of the components. The waitress who severed us was very friendly, but the kitchen/bar staff were swearing whilst telling jokes.
