"Cockroaches"
Not had cockroaches in a uk hotel before, so this was a whole new experience. The little guy in the picture appeared as I was cleaning my teeth. The hotel staff didn’t seem to surprised and no refund was given.

"A good stay"
I had a 2 night stay here last week. On arrival about 7pm we got the last space in a very busy car park, more spaces are definitely needed. It was self service check in. The bedroom was the usual fair & the weather was warm so it was good to see a high speed fan in the room which worked a treat. The staff we saw in the hotel were very friendly & polite. The food was nice & service good. The Brewers Fayre is apparently closing down in September & what ever goes in there next will hopefully be as good.

"Sack the guy on reception"
Awful. The worst hotel and staff I ever met. We arrived in our room and it stunk of smoke. Room 410. Window don't open so couldn't even let fresh air in. Went to ask reception if we can change room as we didn't want our kids sleeping in that smell to be told they had no other rooms and nothing he could do. I understand hotels can be fully booked but to not help us is just awful. He was single handed the most rude and useless staff member I have ever dealt with. Not sure his name but he worked the night of Friday the 19th. In the end I had to pay for another hotel in Slough, pack the bags in the car and leave. It was a real hassle and the guy on reception offered no help at all. They knew the room stunk as we could smell some air freshener which had been sprayed.

"Not very good"
Difficulty checking in on the automatic check in. I put my registration number in the computer but still received a fine!! No air-conditioning.

"Do yourself a favour and don’t book"
Awful!!! Lights didn’t work in the room so the switch was wedged into ‘on’ by the receptionist. A definite wiring fault that was apparently ‘safe’. Air con wouldn’t stay on longer than 2 mins (we timed it). Apparently ‘boosting to the max’ by reception meant the room stayed at 26 degrees. Even when ‘on’ it was a tiny trickle of air that could only be felt by actually having your hand on the vent. Windows don’t open??? There is no handle?? They literally cannot open???
Apparently there are no other rooms to be moved to. Except you can go online and still book several of the same room type for tonight? Either the website is lying or reception is…
Roughly 5 hours after we first complained about the room temp, they brought up the world’s most useless fan, whereby you can’t feel airflow more than half a foot away. Helpful for our two small children trying to sleep through 🥴
Filthy bathroom. Disgustingly so. Didn’t want to bathe my kids in there. Mould, mildew all sorts of spores in the air. Loads of critters and bugs (not sure how they got in because the windows DONT OPEN). Beds smelled like damp despite the Saharan temperatures. The beds are absolutely not the mattresses they’re selling, these are by far the most uncomfortable mattresses I’ve ever slept on (and usually I come away from a premier inn stay begging my partner to buy one of their mattresses). This feels like a Temu version of Premier Inn.
Genuinely terrible. Wouldn’t have even been happy to pay £5 for the night. Do yourself a favour and stay literally anywhere else. I’m sure a night in the car would have been cleaner, more comfortable and cooler than this shack. Foul.
