"Great Premier Inn - would stay again!"
Great Premier Inn - we stayed as a family of 4 while doing the Gromit Trail - very clean / well situated/ great Wi-Fi / free parking / comfy beds. Fully working air conditioning. Couldn’t have asked for more thank you!

"Great stop for overnight stop for Bristol, but need to sort room temperature out as it was very hot"
Stopped here overnight after staying in Cornwall on holiday, and had a morning flight in the morning from Bristol airport. It was further away from the airport than I had expected , but it was an easy 20 minute drive. Be aware our Sat Nav directed us to a small car park at the back of the hotel which was full, but we drove around to the restaurant next door and found the Premier Inn main entrance and a large car park. Even though we arrived after midnight had a warm welcome from receptionist and was soon checked in. There is no lift here, but hotel only over 2 floors , but still hard work to drag a heavy suitcase up. The room was clean and tidy and everything you expect from a Premier Inn, but it was soooooo HOT. The thermostat gauge said 25 degrees , but we could not get the gauge to work to reduce the temperature. In the end we opened the windows as far as they would go and had the fan provided ( I guess that means heat is an issue) on all night right next to the bed . Breakfast is taken in the restaurant adjacent to the hotel and offered the normal fare of both continental and fully cooked breakfast . Although there was only one member of front of house staff on duty , we were well looked after and everything was kept topped up. Great location for an over night stop for the airport ,

"It's better to sleep inside your car"
Living hell, 27 degrees without air conditioning and a small useless fan. I recommend people sleep in their own cars much better than this stupid hotel

"Rundown & poor facilities, bad smells, poor service and boiling hot rooms"
Stayed here with family (2 x adults, 2 x children) in order to catch an early flight from Bristol. Had a really bad experience as arrived on a rare hot summers UK day, checked in at 6pm and reception took details and gave us our key, no other info provided but thought nothing of it at the time. Got into room and it was boiling hot, temp on wall said 31 degrees. A window was open and a fan was on in the room but the fan was doing nothing with hardly any air coming off it. I went to reception to say how hot the room was and that the fan was doing nothing, the response was simply 'nothing we can do', that all rooms were hot and no other fans available. This was bad enough without the fact that on reception they had 3 desk fans pointed at them whilst we had this conversation.
We had no real choice but to try and make the room work and try to get it colder but with 4 of us in there the temp only increased to 31.5 during the night. It was the worst nights sleep we have ever had, I say sleep but think we had max of 1-2hrs sleep before deciding to leave 2hrs before we needed to at 3am just to get into the car and then airport with Aircon.
Whilst the heat was a massive problem, the room itself was also dated, tired with broken toys left in the corner (assume previous guest) and a smell in the toilet. It was quite grotty overall compared to other premier inn rooms we have stayed in.
I got a feedback email from Premier Inn and so raised the above, they did respond and apologised but stated that in their good nights sleep guarantee, room heat is not covered in hotel's without aircon. I wasn't actually seeking any refunds when providing the feedback but I thought it summed up the experience, not addressing the customer service or room issues but falling back on t&c's.
We wont be staying here again obviously, but it has also put Premier Inn in a negative light when we have used them a lot. This place is unfortunately way behind on other options and needs some investment so others dont have the same issues.
