Why not hire a bike and make the most of the dedicated cycle lanes along Lysander Road and Cribbs Causeway, which form part of National Cycle Route 4? In terms of local transport, you’ll find the nearest bus stops on Lysander Road, opposite the junction with Catbrain Lane, while the nearest train station is Patchway – roughly a 20-minute cycle or 30-minute bus ride from our hotel. Free on-site car parking and electric vehicle charging is available at our hotel, and there’s also a freephone connection to a local taxi service in our hotel reception.

No one really knows for sure. There’s speculation it was down to Tom Cribb, a famous boxer in the area but that’s since been disproven. It could be that the causeway, which dates back to the Romans, was named after a local family who lived nearby called Crybe or, over time, Cribb.
