Wokingham Town Centre hotel

Location of the hotel was perfect - right in centre of Wokingham for what we required. The atmosphere was relaxed and easy. Staff very friendly and so helpful Our room was so lovely and cool with the aircon considering it was in the heatwave which was lovely to walk into after a long day of travelling. It was clean and comfortable also. We didnt hear any noise which was perfect too !

Very handy if you are traveling by train about five minutes walk. Within minutes you are also in the town cenre. Very polite and knowledgable staff. Great customer service. Rooms are very clean much higher standard than most Premier Inns. Staff knowledge of allergies is very strong, which is not always the case a lot of care and attention shown. Well done! will certainly return.

So we’ve stayed in premier inns whenever we’re on visits around the UK. We’re down for Royal Ascot and I feel compelled to write about our experience here. From the outset our greeting from Kelly was excellent, friendly and informative and simply lovely. Then in the evening Luke looked after us at the bar. He was friendly, attentive and an all round top guy. Thanks to you both. Great customer experience. These guys are a credit to you.

We go to many premier inns and all the staff here are amazing. They go over and above to make your stay comfortable and they have been very accommodating for my 13 year old autistic son. A special thank you to Kelly, Sara, George for going that extra mile for us, especially adapting things to help our son.

The room was nice and very clean, and the staff throughout the hotel—at reception and in the restaurant—were friendly and pleasant. However, our dinner was disappointing. The portion sizes were very small, feeling more like a snack than a main meal, and the food wasn't particularly well-plated or flavourful. The "unlimited" breakfast was also a letdown. We came down around 9:45 AM, and the hot food section was completely empty, forcing us to wait for eggs, sausages, mushrooms, and bacon. The pastries and toast sections were also nearly empty. The layout was inconvenient as well; there was no milk near the hot drinks station, and a single milk jug was shared between the cereal and hot drinks counters, which were a fair distance apart. Staff seemed deliberately slow to refill items. The milk jug was kept only a quarter full, which is not ideal for a busy morning, and the juice dispensers were never refilled during the last hour despite several guests waiting around for them. While I understand the need to avoid food wastage, the overall experience felt a little skimpy. Frankly, Travelodge beats you on the breakfast experience. While the food tasted good once available, it would have been a pain to wait around like this if I had been on a tight schedule.
