Wokingham Town Centre hotel

Having stayed in this hotel many times, the experience this year was far below acceptable. Air conditioning was faulty in the top 2 floors and was told by staff a different story each day, power cut, this sometimes happens.... Each night the air conditioning turned itself off at 12.29 as an error and had to be re set but couldn't alter temperature on such a hot weekend was unbearable. Would have taken a fan if I had known. No manager on site whole weekend till 3pm the Sunday we left. Staff didn't really want to know. Customer service after was also soul destroying. Management at hotel lied about air con even though I had pictures to prove everything. Totally feel let down as through a large group we always like the premier inn brand. Time to stop and look elsewhere. To have a bad stay is one thing but the customer service and the lies is another

The hotel was lovely. The staff were really welcoming, happy to answer questions and engaged with our children. The hotel was clean, comfortable and the rooms were set up really well travelling with children. A nice activity pack was given to them on arrival and the staff member was really engaging and friendly. The food was good and the location meant we were close to shops if we needed to pop out for anything we’d forgotten. The town centre was quiet at night and we didn’t hear a lot of traffic or noise once in the room. There is a car park across the road which is less than a 2 minute walk which was great. The whole place was really clean and presentable, we would recommend staying here.

We made a booked for 1 night as we were attending a wedding reception during the day & evening. The check-in was very smooth, the receptionist was very polite and helpful, especially with the parking permit machine in the lobby, for the public carpark which is very near to the hotel. Check out was even smoother as there is a letter box to pop your Room cards in upon leaving. We struggled a little to get out of the bath as it was a little slippery (possibly due to our height & age) ... A minor suggestion/request would be for handles on the wall to support whilst exiting the bath tub after having a shower (which was over the bath tub).

Perfect stay the staff were so helpful and friendly ....tne location was good and the chef made us perfect poached eggs no mean feat

I was in the area attending a conference, and knowing I’d be arriving by public transport, I picked the Wokingham Premier Inn for its proximity to Wokingham Station. Unfortunately I had some train issues on the way, but I got a friendly welcome, and check in by a person, despite my relatively late arrival. The room was comfortable and quiet, despite the proximity to one of the main routes into Wokingham. Breakfast was to the usual Premier Inn standard, and the hotel was convenient for the train to my conference. Certainly if I were arriving by public transport, I’d use the Wokingham Premier Inn again, however the lack of a dedicated car park for the hotel, instead needing to park in the council multi-storey over the road would put me off if driving.
