"The worst Premier Inn I've been too"
This has quite simply been the worst experience I’ve ever had at a Premier Inn.
After travelling for 4 hours, we arrived just after 6pm with three children under 10, only to be left standing outside unable to get in. We rang the reception buzzer repeatedly and waited around 8 minutes before anyone let us in. That is completely unacceptable under any circumstances, let alone with young children after a long journey.
When someone finally did let us in, there was no apology whatsoever—just a vague gesture towards a self check-in kiosk. No welcome, no acknowledgement, nothing.
Once inside, we were hit by an overwhelming smell of cooked oil. The entire place smelt like a chip pan, which was extremely off-putting and lingered throughout our stay.
We went down for food and were told we had to book and wait at the bar for 20 minutes—despite there being at least 12 empty tables. It made absolutely no sense.
The food itself was shockingly poor. Out of five meals, only two (chicken burgers) were edible. The cheeseburger was burnt, the bun over-toasted, and it was served with soggy chips and a vinegary, low-quality coleslaw. The pasta dishes were even worse—burnt tagliatelle (something I didn’t think was possible) and what can only be described as undercooked spaghetti in a basic tomato sauce. Both appeared to be microwave meals and were frankly inedible.
The following morning, despite having prepaid for breakfast, we were made to stand waiting while staff struggled to find our booking. Even after showing confirmation, we were still left waiting unnecessarily.
Breakfast itself was just as disappointing. Normally, this is something Premier Inn does well, but not here. Everything tasted like it had been cooked in old, dirty oil. The smell of grease was so strong it clung to our clothes as we left.
We also requested our room to be cleaned by hanging the notice on the door, expecting fresh towels at the very least. After being out from 8am all day, we returned to find nothing had been done. No cleaning, no towels. When we raised this at reception, we were told there was nothing that could be done and that we should have also informed reception in addition to using the door sign. That completely defeats the purpose of the sign. Again, there was no apology—just a dismissive response and a set of towels handed over.
To make matters worse, it is almost impossible to get any help. Calling reception connects you to a virtual assistant that cannot deal with even the simplest request—in our case, asking for clean towels. When it says it will transfer you to a human, you may as well hang up, as no one ever answers. It leaves you feeling completely stuck and unsupported.
Overall, this stay fell well below even the most basic expectations. From the lack of access on arrival, to poor service, unacceptable food quality, and dismissive staff responses, the experience was consistently disappointing from start to finish. We chose Premier Inn because of its usual reputation for reliability and value, but this stay did not reflect that in any way. It has genuinely made us question whether we would stay with the brand again.
Given the number and severity of issues throughout our stay, I would expect this to be taken seriously and for an appropriate response to be provided. At the very least, this experience warrants acknowledgment and a gesture of goodwill to reflect just how far it fell below the standard you promote.

"Subject: The Gold Standard for Premier Inn – Exceptional Service!"
We have visited many Premier Inn branches across the country, largely because their Special Needs Assistance team provides such excellent over-the-phone support. However, the Slough Industrial Estate branch is officially the best we have ever stayed at for the following reasons:
• Immaculate Cleanliness: The hygiene and upkeep of this hotel are easily 5-star quality.
• Welcoming Staff: The check-in team was incredibly helpful—a consistent trait across the brand, but executed perfectly here.
• Top-Tier Dining: The food makes this the best branch in the UK. Breakfast was fresh, warm, and delicious. Master Chef Tariq is a true credit to the hotel; his attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction were impressive.
• Exceptional Care: In the dining area, Roysie looked after us so well that it felt like being at a premium Turkish resort. She was incredibly kind to our children with special needs and exceeded all our expectations for customer service.
Credit to the management for maintaining such a high-performing team. We won't stay anywhere else when we visit the area again!

"Fab stay at premier inn Slough"
My granddaughter has allergies, the staff went above and beyond to try as much as possible that she wasn't ill. They cooked all her food separately and took away the cutlery and washed them
I took a pudding for her and they had no problem with washing a bowl and spoon for her 10 out of 10

I had a fantastic stay at Premier Inn Slough Central South, and honestly, it ticked every box from start to finish. The rooms were spotless, modern, and incredibly comfortable — exactly what you want after a long day. The bed lived up to the Premier Inn reputation: deep sleep, zero noise, and perfect temperature control. Housekeeping clearly takes pride in their work, as everything felt fresh, clean, and well-maintained.
The breakfast was a real highlight. A wide selection, well organised, and constantly topped up. Whether you want a full English or something lighter, the quality and freshness really stood out. The dining area was clean, calm, and welcoming, which made mornings relaxed rather than rushed.
What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff and overall service. Every team member I interacted with was warm, professional, and genuinely helpful. From reception to breakfast staff, there was a real sense of teamwork and care. Nothing felt forced — just natural hospitality done right.
The hotel is well located, easy to access, and offers excellent value for money. You can tell it’s well managed and customer-focused. I would happily recommend Premier Inn Slough Central South to business travellers, families, and anyone looking for a stress-free, comfortable stay. I’ll definitely be returning.
