Reading South (Reading Gateway, M4/J11) Hotel

Came down to the bar to watch the football as I noticed on the way in all the flags and decorations in the bar BUT to my disappointment they weren’t showing the football as it’s makes people violent apparently!!! The waitress had turned it on for us but the manager came and turned it off making everyone watching the football annoyed and no one could understand why she turned it off! She advised us to go to another pub and making us take our business elsewhere, which in the current financial situation for premier inn is crazy. I asked the manager why there is decorations up for the football? if they were not showing it why are they up ?!?!

The breakfast was very poor. We had to wait for breakfast items and most of the time they werent replenished as quick as they should be. See it almost empty then put some on. Same with the continental breakfast. Disappointed that we paid for breakfast prior to arrival as I wouldnt have probably eaten there after that 1st morning but as we had paid we did eat the 2nd morning but the 3rd we went to mcdonalds which was a much better service. The food was only luke warm so feel the breakfast was a waste of money.

Great location and had no issues. Good Premier room as usual. Clean and good beds.

After having stayed at a few premier inns this has been our worst experience. To start, whilst checking in (after a day of travelling with young children) we went to check in and we're struggling with the self check in as wasn't able to find our booking. After many attempts it finally worked but no member of staff in sight to help. We then headed to our room which looked like someone had already been in and used it. I went to put the children to bed. I pulled back their duvets to find the undersheets not actually fitted and just laid across bed. I went to make them only to find lipstick stains, bed crumbs and a set of false eyelashes under the sheets. I called reception and explained. They brought up 2 sheets. I explained that we needed 2 new duvet covers and new matress protectors as we're all filthy. They came up with only 1 new protector as they said thats all they had. I explained again that we needed duvet covers. So on the third time we got new duvet covers which were doubles for single beds. There was no offer for them to change the beds so I did this whilst juggling little children and a warm clammy room as the air con wasn't working. Ill add the duvets when I changed them were so stained and dirty with what looked like urine patches all over. Then going into the bathroom we found the floor hadnt neen cleaned. There were crumbs, shopping tags and toe nails on the floor. By this point i was too tired to call down again and the children just needed to sleep. It was fully booked that evening so knew there was no chance of changing rooms. It was a hot and clammy nights sleep. We had 2 nights booked so I did speak to a gentleman on reception the next day as really not happy and he was appologetic and gave me an email to contact but still haven't heard back. However I cant fault the location, parking and breakfast. They were brilliant

Lovely stay. The restaurant was lovely. Food great. Service by Mia and Aditi was brilliant. Very helpful young ladies. Thanks guys
