"Amazing service"
Dominic and Sarica consistently delivered outstanding service, exhibiting a welcoming approach and successfully meeting my needs. Their performance significantly benefits Premier Inn Reading. Kindly convey my appreciation to them.
"Great location"
On arrival we had a very pleasant greeting from Sarka who was on reception. She was very professional and helpful. The hotel is in a fabulous location from the town, we ventured in and chose a restaurant for evening meal. We stayed two nights as it was my granddaughters graduation . Breakfast was very good too, I have Coeliac disease & Sarka organised the GF breakfast for me. Location great, staff great the hotel was exceptionally clean.
"horrendous"
I am writing to formally raise a complaint regarding my recent stay at your hotel. On returning from an evening out with friends, I was allocated Room 301, where I was horrified to discover bed bugs crawling across the white sheets, headboard, walls. I immediately reported this to reception and, after insisting, I was moved to Room 300. However, given the circumstances, I felt extremely uncomfortable and was unable to sleep, fearing the same issue would occur again. In addition to this, my friend’s room was in an unacceptable state of disrepair. It was dirty, and several items were broken, creating potential health and safety hazards. This only added to our concerns about the standards of cleanliness and maintenance within the hotel. The night staff advised me to speak with management in the morning. After remaining awake all night, I spoke with the manager, who informed me that nothing could be done and that I should “write a review.” not any form of compensation for the distress and inconvenience caused. This experience was entirely unacceptable. The presence of bed bugs, the filthy and unsafe condition of another guest room, and the lack of appropriate customer care raise serious concerns regarding hygiene, safety, and professional standards. At a minimum, I expect a full refund for my stay, along with reassurances that urgent measures are being taken to prevent this from happening to other guests.
"Good stays both times"
Staff here are really friendly at reception. I stayed here in September 2023 one time and had an issue with the sink (was my own silly mistake) and the staff member came and rectified it immediately. I stayed again recently and the person on reception was super friendly and asked me how I was etc. Really great would stay here again Plus the breakfast offers a great variety and they have a selection of tea bags to choose from The room is decent sized and comfortable, good bathroom facilities and freeview television
"What amazing helpful staff!"
I booked rooms at this hotel for a group of 16 guests visiting Reading for the weekend. They came from far and wide (Canada, Ireland, Germany, the Netherlands, Scotland, Sweden) to stay for three nights. All of them had disabilities, including 6 wheelchair users. I live in Reading myself and had planned a programme of activities and tours around the local area for the duration of their stay. Everything about this hotel from start to finish was perfect. I made the reservations myself and everyone paid on arrival for their rooms. The staff behind reception were welcoming, helpful and friendly. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was pleased that the hotel room we had (level 4 at the back overlooking the church) was peaceful. The bed was comfortable (of course). BUT a special mention has to go to the lovely Manju, who looked after us all so well at breakfast time. She was happy to fetch coffees and food for us and had a lovely smile and a very friendly and approachable nature. Thank you Manju! You are a real star!
