Reading Central hotel

We stayed 2 nights in a Premier Plus Double. Good clean, quiet room. Had shower gel and hand-wash. Breakfast was excellent for a coeliac. My cutlery was changed and my food ordered and brought from the kitchen so no crosscontamination. Evening meal in the hotel was excellent. Again fresh cutlery and great food. Even cocktail ingredients were checked for gluten. All very reassuring. Shout out to Liam who was incredible. Thank you. We will return.

I found that this hotel is good in staffs, cleanliness of the rooms, air conditioning, hotel restaurant and bar and also their parking place. And also it is easy to access shopping and restaurants in Reading.

Great location in Reading, lovely clean room, super comfy bed but what made the stay fantastic was a beautiful soul by the name of Sarka. A little ray of sunshine and nothing was too much trouble, absolute asset to the company.

Room 104 was very run down, plastic trim hanging off the window, paint peeling off walls, dents/holes in walls, Glass shower door did not hold back water, big blob of messy sealant holding glass door in place, rusty parts in the bath/taps. Stayed in many premier inn hotels and this one falls below standards. Staff friendly enough but not much they can do about the room themselves especially when hotel if full.

We stayed here as we were attending Royal Ascot. Hotel room was in need of a refresh. Seemed very dull. Didn’t notice any obvious dirt. The hotel is situated on the main road & our room backed onto a noisy roundabout with cars flying round it all night. With Premier inn you are supposed to be given 2 hard pillows & 2 soft ones. All ours were hard, we asked at reception if we could have a soft pillow sent to the room but this was not followed through. Breakfast was a nightmare. The staff were rude and clearly did not want to work or understand how to run the restaurant. Had not booked for breakfast, which under normal circumstances is not an issue but for them it was a huge inconvenience & they tried to refuse me breakfast. One lady even tried to tell me they were full until I counted 9 free tables in front of her & told her she clearly didn’t understand what full actually meant. Reluctantly she let me pick a table as I was a party of one. I’ve stayed in a few premier inn’s & this is by far the worst. Would not return. Staff need to be trained correctly in customer service. Car park was very expensive.
