"no idea what has happened to this chain"
room fine , checkin fine , refused evening meal service refused breakfast service you have to book but on arrival the restaurant was closed so could not book as its automated check in the staff in the restaurant were rude and obnoxious have now complained .

We had a lovely stay at the hotel.
Sean, Michelle and Francesca went out of their way to make the stay more enjoyable.
They were so friendly and helpful.
The weather was so hot, one of them got us a fan and dropped it to our room.
Looking forward to our next stay.

"Good hotel spoilt by inadequate catering"
Stayed for a weekend in July.Absolutely no complaints about the bedroom.Comfortable bed roomy bedroom and very good air conditioner which we needed as it was very hot outside.However the standard in the dining room was far below what we were expecting.The first night we could see the cooks working away in the kitchen producing the food which mainly seemed to be coming out of sachets putting it on the serving pass piping hot and being ignored by the waiting staff who were standing around and by the time we actually were served it had gone cold.We had to wait a ridiculously long time for our not very nice desert.
Breakfast was no better dirty dishes were left on the tables the containers of fruit juice were wonky and not very clean .Worst of all the floor was sticky.Premier Inn breakfasts used to be very good but standards have certainly slipped.
Dinner the second night was slightly better but the service was incredibly slow despite there being only a few eating there that night.
Breakfast the second day was no improvement.
I would certainly avoid eating anything in a Premier Inn in the future

Came to the hotel to stop off as were visiting pepper pig world the next day as its only a short drive away. check in was nice and easy. All the staff were lovely but big shout out to shaun.
