Newbury Town Centre South (A339) hotel

A lovely, well positioned and signposted hotel. Clean and quiet. There is a £3 charge for overnight parking. Any shortcomings were due to lack of staff, this causing waits for table allocation, lack of crockery and delays in food arriving. It was a useful base for visiting Highclere Castle.

Accommodation here was booked via my company for 3 nights, and parking was paid for in advance. When checking a member of staff confirmed parking was included and ask me to write my registration on a piece of paper, which had every body else's details on. A week later i've had 3 parking tickets for the nights.... and so far the hotel hasnt answered the phone yet and its been in 5 phone calls. (all with a "virtual assistant before you can speak to some one,which doesn't really help!). Ive given up now, so ill visit in person.... which im sure will mean paying for a parking session! Im sure the complaints team will reply but as it states on the web site its 5 days to reply, ill leave another comment then.

We use this Premier every time we go on a cruise it’s an excellent stopping venue to enable us to get to Southampton early on a Saturday. We also stayed a wk later so it fitted brilliantly with our much anticipated visit to Highclere

Grim breakfast experience. Literally dried up beans, eggs, scrambled eggs. Barely any choice and was not fresh at all. Staff do not seem happy at all. Beds were comfy and room was spacious. Carpets are grimey. Not worth the price at all.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Breakfast was fantastic. Michelle and Sophie were very kind friendly and helpful. Although breakfast can be busy, both ladies still had time to help . This is my 2nd time staying and will definitely come back and also tell friends. Rooms very clean and fresh smell.
