"Air conditioning needed"
They need to fix the air conditioning because it doesn't work and the window cannot be opened 1 millimetre and the room is very hot at night meaning my partner, daughter and I couldn't sleep. When we asked for a fan on the second day of our stay the receptionist said they didn't have any but on our last day when we used the luggage room there was a fan on the shelf if the luggage room so I was a bit annoyed because we didn't get a wink of sleep over the 4 nights of our stay.

The Premier Inn in Newbury town centre is in an excellent location for various restaurants and hostelries in the town . Unfortunately it does not have its own car park but there is a good car park within easy walking distance.
As always the bedroom and bathroom was clean and comfortable, as it always is at a Premier Inn. The facilities are basic but still very good - you get what you pay for.
The breakfast choices are, in my opinion, excellent.
The staff are always friendly and polite and willing to help.
Recommended.

With a shopping centre right next door, and Newbury Station just a short walk away, you'll love the central location of our Premier Inn Newbury Town Centre (London Road). Fans of Downton Abbey won't want to miss a visit to Highclere Castle, the show's primary filming location. The ruins of Donnington Castle are close by, too, if you fancy exploring a little more of Berkshire's history. Nature-lovers and families alike will enjoy a trip to the Living Rainforest - it's only a short drive away, and bursting with exotic plants and animals. Alternatively, you could tee-off at the nearby Newbury & Crookham Golf Club, before finishing the day with a tasty meal at our in-house Thyme restaurant.
