Luton South (M1, J9) hotel

As we were driving to the hotel we received a phone call asking us to move to another hotel. At 70mph on the M1 I was not in a place to seriously consider this. The promised return call didnt happen but when I called back I was told that I was lucky we could still stay at Luton South. Room was very tired but OK but the ensuite was awful. The worst application of silicone sealant Ive ever seen. In the morning I discovered that the temp control on the shower was stuck on full. So I had a very hot and short shower. My wife refused to use the shower and attempted to wash her hair in the basin with a coffee mug. I went down for a very average preordered cooked breakfast and waited for my wife to arrive for her preordered continental breakfast. She arrived in reception in floods of tears and was taken away by a member of staff who confirmed the shower was broken and made her wait until a shower in another room was cleaned for her to use. We had an appointment in Luton so couldnt wait - so my wife never had a breakfast and I ate mine alone wondering what was going on. On checking the booking later at home it confirmed I had booked an accessible room with wet room - yet we had a standard room with a totally worn out bathroom. 30 minutes on the phone this morning to try to sort the mess out. £123.98 totally wasted. Let's see what their customer services team offers.................

As fans of the premier inn model for a family of 4 we booked this at the last minute when visiting family. Sadly this is a sad tatty hotel, clearly needs modernising throughout. Beds were comfy (of course) but bathroom had seen much better days and public toilets near the restaurant were pretty grim. Compared to other premier inns in the area this is poor

Booked in at the last minute late in the evening. Great nights sleep, excellent breakfast. Front desk staff Sarah and Klein were particularly helpful and welcoming.

Great location, lovely hotel, fantastic staff. We stay here whenever we're in the area. Highly recommended and have already booked again.

The room itself was extremely dusty, dirty and just needed a deep clean in all areas of the room. The desk leg was broken, both lamps, wall and desk were visibly broken (coming away from the wall and switch was missing). The bathroom was extremely dated, mould in the shower and the sink plug hole was clogged with "something".
