"Welcomed by the lovely Shobana who checked us in."
Stayed here for a business travel day. We were made to feel incredibly welcome by the lovely Shobana who checked us in. She was incredibly helpful and made us all smile.
    "Warm Welcome and Top-Notch Assistance"
Shobana was an outstanding receptionist! Her friendly and upbeat personality made me feel immediately welcome. She went above and beyond helping with my luggage, thoughtfully providing post codes for nearby bars, and clearly explaining the local area, which made exploring effortless. Her warm, professional demeanor truly elevated my stay. Highly recommended!
    "Affordable"
More affordable than other hotels, offering excellent value. Conveniently located near the town center and motorway. The staff is friendly and welcoming, with special mention to the cheerful chubby guy in the reception.
    "Very Good Experience"
I stay there every week working away and I got to say I'm very happy. Staff is very helpful and polite. I would recommend 100%
"Unfortunately this is definitely the worst Premier Inn I've stayed in."
Unfortunately this is definitely the worst Premier Inn I've stayed in. The reception staff were perfectly fine, however the overall appearance of the hotel let's it down, it's in need of a refurb as others have mentioned. The room was booked for myself and my two boys, it was supplied as a quad room but it was quite small and cramped with the main large bed and two smaller beds, you couldn't even pull the chair out fully from the desk, but it was for one night so I let it go. The net curtain was about six inches short, so you had a section that was easily visible from the car park, not ideal. The room looked OK initially, but it had a musty smell on arrival and after looking a bit closer, there was a lot of dust on loads of surfaces, skirting boards, light fittings and switches, top of TV, back of pedestal fan etc, you can see they only clean the main surfaces that they think you will see and use, I've taken pictures of various areas and a video of the clump of dust on my finger after running it along a short section of skirting. The plughole in the basin was disgusting, full of grey gunk and you could tell it hadn't been cleaned in what I would think was months. Then I tried to switch the heating on using the thermostat on the wall as per the instruction sheet left in the room, nothing, the battery cover was also missing, so I went to reception and the lady came back to the room and asked how I tried to switch it on and I said via the thermostat as per the instructions, she said the thermostats don't work and you have to adjust the panel on the actual heater manually, which she tried to do and nothing happened, so she went and got a portable heater, as it was only one night I just accepted it and got on with it. So it seems they are aware that the thermostats in the rooms do not work, and not mentioning that on the website or during booking seems devious to me. The only reason I gave two stars instead of one was because of the hardworking staff at breakfast, they were great and made sure all the food and drink was kept topped up. I will definitely not be staying here again and as much as I don't like saying it, I would advise you to avoid this Premier Inn. I've attached the images here, but I don't know if they will be published.
