Bedford Town Centre (Riverside) hotel

Room was very spacious and reasonably clean (some mould in the bath seals). In fact, there was so much empty space they could have left more space for clothes storage, rather than a small rack of hangers. Large television in front of the bed and efficient air conditioning. Very comfortable bed. The views are good, right above the river. Location is 15 minutes walk to the station and 10 minutes from centre. This is the only hotel I ever visited that required to explicitly ask to clean the room. I did so twice during my 3-night stay, and despite this, no one has ever attended. On the last night, I had to go down again to reception to at least ask for clean towels, which were handed to me. The bathroom did not have a mat for the shower area. Both the sink and the shower (over the bath) had uncomfortable sprayers and the shower did not have a hosed shower head. WiFi signal was strong but connection was very very slow, probably capped to sell the premium wifi service.

I' ve had a great time! Nice room (411) great view of the river,/ bridge; staff very pleasant but alsi professional! Very good breakfast too! All around excellent....

I was warmly welcomed by the front of house staff. They were very friendly and approachable and all three went out of their way to help us as I needed an extra bed as my son was also staying unexpectedly. I don’t usually leave reviews but they genuinely are a credit to their company and I thought it was right, I leave a review! They were all faultless. Thank you on behalf of my son & I.

My stay here was very comfortable on check- in I was greeted by the most pleasant lady Jo. From the moment I arrived nothing was too much hassle for her. She is so kind and genuinely cares for her job. The stay had all the basics you’d need, breakfast had just what was needed Only downfall was the lady at breakfast, she was nice but it’s sad to hear she wasn’t talking very pleasantly about her work Collegues, as someone who works in hospitality this should never come to the guests side of the walls, these matters are discussed with management and reprimanded / resolved rather than to be gossiped with to a coworker while guests around. More tables at breakfast were dirty than cleaned. Very few places to sit when I arrived to breakfast either they were just not cleared from plates or occupied. Nights team were so helpful when I needed an extra pillow over the night. Hairdrier wasn’t provided unless requested. No bar area, was drinks but only during dinner service and no bar area, this isn’t an issue as the building is so central with beautiful views and high floors. Would recommend and would stay again.

Stayed on 20/03/26, lovely room, very clean, comfy bed, everything i would expect, no complaints about this but as for a noise free night it wasn't! Such a very noisy air vent which we thought would stop when the bathroom light and door was closed, oh no all night it was working (so loud), i didn't get any sleep, i would understand this if it was air con and could turn it off but we looked everywhere in the room to turn this off but no, think there must be a problem with this vent as never had a problem with any other premier inn (this one included) but no staff visable so no one to complain to. Will be contacting customer complaints to explain this review.
