"Bad stay bad customer relations as they didn’t believe me"
It was my mother’s funeral so my daughter and I picked this premier inn as it was the closest to my family in Kempston. We had booked this late January so plenty on time in advance and paid a supplement to have 2 single beds a twin room.
We arrived approx 19:30 after seeing family and arranging to eat at the restaurant opposite. We entered the room and there was a double bed not 2 singles. As we only had one set of towels .. 1x hand & 1x body towel we didn’t bother to shower as nd thought we would inform reception on our way out so they could sort it while the room was vacant. We didn’t see anyone at reception so headed across the way to meet family as arranged for dinner. We returned after our meet up approx 21:45 and again no one was at reception we hoovered a little but no one came so we went to the room.
The bed wasn’t made as a double it had a single sheet on the mattress and it only covered the face of the mattress the duvet the same.
By this time we had our night wear on so I wasn’t about to walk down the corridor enter the lift and reach reception in my pajamas. Our sleep wasn’t comfortable and we woke every time one of us moved as the sheet crumpled beneath us and the duvet would be pulled and dragged off each other all night. I really wanted a good nights sleep due to the long drive the emotional day meeting the family etc then preparing for the funeral the following day. This didn’t happen and we were ready to just advised the staff of our mishap. We packed up that morning went down to reception where there were 3 members of staff all chatting and ready to start the day so I brought this to all 3’s attention. One member suggested sending the feed back to customer relations as I even suggested the supplement paid be sent to the charity they are running as we didn’t get the single beds.
Once I explained all this to Custer relations they apologised and slightly tried to fob me off. I stated the fact that the room was not made as a twin and there reply pretty much called me a lier this was there final reply and I’ve been ignored ever since as I asked for the to be handed by a member in higher authority.
I wish I had taken photos but as it was a one night stay and I had more important things on my mind fogged with the lack of sleep unfortunately I didn’t.
Plus they do state that there’s a full refund if you don’t get a good night sleep guaranteed.
Even if I had found a member of staff au about 23:00 I wouldn’t have slept well after the furniture and bedding being moved about and changed at that time of night / morning.

Following your comments, we reviewed the records and our overnight staffing logs. These confirm that the room had been set up as a twin prior to arrival, and that a team member was present at reception throughout the night. As no issues were reported during the stay, the team were unfortunately unaware and therefore unable to assist at the time by separating the beds or providing additional towels.
That said, we are grateful you have brought this to our attention now. Your feedback has been shared with our housekeeping and reception teams so we can continue improving communication and support for guests arriving later in the evening.

"Great"
DISGUSTED... At the LAST REWIEW SOMEONE POSTED about this hotel and lack of toilet paper ETC (SO WRONG). This hotel i have stayed at many times with my partner who has 25 years of hospitality experience and find this hotel very good above many others.
Kemi the manager keeps a tight ship and again mentioned in other reviews Dawn is excellent front of house.
The bar across the way (Whitbread) isn't the best but that is not the fault of the hotel.
I recommend this hotel like many other reviews , so visit and make your own mind up guys.

"They have just lost my loyalty."
I stay at a lot of premier inns but this has put me off for the foreseeable future. I have several issues with my stay that I addressed via email with Premier Inn. Here are just a few...
1. Booked a room for 2 but only 1 towel. Having already put my PJs on, had to go downstairs for a second towel. This happens a lot and it's irritating.
2. Then having gone to the loo late at night, the toilet paper ran out! We tried phoning down to reception but there was no answer.
3. Next morning I discovered the bin had the rubbish for the last guest still in it. This makes me think the bathroom had not been checked or cleaned from the previous guest. Ewww!
4. The sink wouldn't drain after brushing my teeth.
We arrived late and left early so didn't speak to the staff about the above as I had to get to my next appointment but decided to address it via email.
In the past I have found premier inn to be excellent and fair, however, although i got an apology via email, they said, because i didn't report this to the staff there, I would not get any sort of refund or compensation. They have just lost my loyalty.

"Brilliant"
Stayed at Premier Inn Bedford South – brilliant all round. Clean spacious room with a comfy bed and great shower staff were fantastic. Food was excellent and well priced plus it’s perfectly located with surrounding shops etc. I’ll be back!

"Good stay"
Proper decent stay end of December, comfy bed, hot shower, good breakfast, can’t complain at all. Will come and stay again.
