Jersey St Helier (Charing Cross) hotel

What a great hotel, right in the middle of St Helier. And as usual you know what you are going to get from Premier Inn. Clean rooms, friendly staff, reasonable prices.

We (family of 4) stayed here for 4 nights and would not hesitate to stay here again. The location was great, parking was just a short walk from the hotel and only 87p an hour (free after 5pm and free on Sundays - much cheaper than what we are used to in Leeds!). Rooms were quiet despite being in the centre. The room was clean and a comfortable size for the 4 of us. The shower was fantastic- very powerful! Breakfast was good, lots of choice but was a little slow to replenish items (such as cereal, juice and bowls). The staff we encountered were pleasant, although seemed a little short-staffed with the young man on Reception also having to cover breakfast and clear tables at the same time. All-in-all a good stay.

Reception -Rarely manned- You have to ring a bell for someone to attend. Rooms - as a standard premier inn room would be. You have to ask for your room to be cleaned, and no-.one shows anyway , so complete waste of time. Had to ask reception to supply me some clean towels for a 4 day stay. Facilities - air conditioning is pre programmed to a certain temp (19 degrees) which felt like 29 degrees, room was boiling, so asked for a fan. What came, measured 8 inches in height and you would get more air from a straw if you blew through it. Restaurant - never manned at night. went to eat there but a couple were walking out saying they had waited an hour and a half to be served and don't bother. Breakfast was lack lustre for Premier inn, again no staff monitoring and we could have ate there and not prepaid for it during the entire stay. As a avid fan of Premier inn hotels , and their ability to provide comfortable accommodation without breaking the budget, I have to say this is the worst one i have ever stayed in. There is a serious staffing issue, when you find one, they give you conflicting stories ( they messed up my reservation) and there is definately no customer 'experience', you are just a paying to sleep in a room, that's where it stops. No service at all. Really disappointing stay overall.

Waited a good 20 minutes for someone to come to take an order in the evening got fed up of waiting so left and went into town for something to eat. Asked for 3 days for my room to be cleaned which never happened,eventually went down to reception to get clean towels.i was checked in until Saturday 2/8/25 but left on the Friday morning 1/8/25

It’s Premier Inn so you know exactly what to expect - clean room, great shower, comfortable bed and a good night’s sleep. Fantastic central location (our room overlooking the pedestrianised road was really quiet) , five minute walk to the central bus station (get a pass at the airport and download the app, so easy to get around and service spot on) and Marina, right where you want to be. On top of a supermarket so ideal for a meal deal/snack. Didn’t use the restaurant so can’t comment.
