"Not for us"
Good - great location, just a 5 minute walk from the bus station, friendly helpful staff, especially the young man. Great you can stock up on tea coffee supplies in reception. Shower gel supplied, kettle etc, comfy beds
Bad - The bedroom was far too warm and stuffy. The air conditioning didn’t work on arrival and we had to discover it was operated on cool only by visiting reception. Then it only went as low as 19degrees. There is no option to open a window and get fresh air in. It was warm outside, so this combination left us with uncomfortably stuffy dark room. There was mould and mildew on the bath and tiles, which is easily cleaned with a product or bleach. It’s unhygienic and unsightly and lazy on part of the management who need to allow time for this to be resolved.
On the Sunday early evening we returned to the hotel to find the restaurant was closed (as were others locally) which was disappointing and I didn’t believe advertised (unless I am mistaken)

"A good time in Jersey"
As with most PI's clean tidy & this one in Jersey is very central
We felt the new as the call them V2 beds were alright but even though the room was cool(thats great) the bed topper & duvet made for uncomfortable night's the option of just a sheet to use on its own as well as the duvet may help the situation as it gives you an option
Other than that all good

"Should Have Known Better."
My wife and I have just spent 2 nites, b & b, in this establishment and wished we hadn't. The only thing to recommend it is its great central location, in the very centre of St Helier. We arrived early, due to an early morning flight and were told our room wouldn't be ready until 2.30-3.00. We went away until 2.30, only to find the reception unmanned. After 10 minutes of hitting a buzzer, somebody appeared. We got a small double room at the back of the hotel, with a sealed window, overlooking a bank of air con fans etc. Lovely. Room 307.
On our first night there was a thunderstorm in the area, so we thought we'd have a quiet drinking the bar area. Quiet was right. It was a soulless area, where the breakfast was to be served the next morning. So we just left and braved the storm and found a lovely, friendly little pub just around the corner, called the Post Horn. Well worth a visit!
Our room was small, but with a great ,comfy bed, to be fair. But the shower/bath was not designed for senior citizens to climb into! The main unit in the room, under the TV, was very rickety so maybe avoid touching it.
Our breakfast was very disappointing, unfortunately, especially for the price that was charged. All the cooked breakfast items were displayed under heat lamps and by the look/taste of them, the items had been there for some time. The fried eggs seemed like then were made of plastic; the sausages had formed a very hard skin on them and the mushrooms were as rubbery as anything. There was a selection of breads, cereals and fruit available too.
When we were leaving our room later in the morning, I noticed on the back of the 'do not disturb' sign that you had to inform reception if you wanted your room serviced that day! Never seen this in a hotel before. So we called into reception and informed them that we would indeed like our room serviced. The receptionist told us they had needed to be informed earlier so our room may not get serviced. And indeed it wasnt! Crazy.
All in all a disappointing stay at the Premier Inn, Charring Cross! It wasn't the dearest hotel in St Helier, but it was too dear for the service provided.

"Excellent hotel in beautiful St. Helier."
Fabulous hotel with excellent facilities in the centre of St. Helier. Very comfortable, very clean and very quiet, with a very warm welcome and exceptional customer service from delightful and very helpful staff. The hotel is perfectly positioned to explore St. Helier on foot and to easily reach the bus station with its many routes which cover the rest of the island. Highly recommend and will be revisiting.

"A huge disappointment wouldnt stay again"
Walked in up the stairs and they were dirty with rubbish and obviously hadnt been vacuumed in ages. Check in was a shambles. Gone 3pm no rooms had been cleaned so endured a wait. Eventually got a room, to leave a foyer of angry people, and the bathroom was revolting. It smells of damp and is actually mouldy. The ceiling, the walls and around the bath. Also someone elses hair and phlegm on the wall. No point asking to be moved as it would have been 5pm so this or nothing. Location is the absolutely only thing this has going for it.....
