"Good service from David on reception"
Hotel in excellent location and v near bus station, Liberty Square and shops.
Big shout out to David on reception who went out of his way to help us with a couple of problems, was friendly and polite. A credit to Premier Inns.
Mekhaeil in the restaurant gave us good service. The food at dinner and breakfast was good and reasonable size portions.
I haven't given 5* because of the cleaning. An empty can of coke and a water bottle sat on the window sill for 6 days until we put it in the bin outside. Similarly our room was not cleaned properly. You have to request a room clean which we did after 3 nights. The bathroom bin wasn't emptied, the refreshments not refilled and nor were the sheets changed the entire length of our stay of over a week. I expected Premier Inns to automatically change sheets for long staying guests.

"very disappointing"
Location excellent, spacious bathroom and room, though the carpet is very very shabby and the decor is drab. Bed was comfortable. Air con was noisy and had to complain and was told that they would mute it but on my last night it was noisy again. After my second night and second evening meal I became very unwell. I had eaten prawn cocktail as a starter and sea bass smothered in pesto sauce as a mains. That night was the worst I have ever experienced with severe stomach cramps, vomiting and the runs. I was unable to go on my pre booked sailing to the island of Sark which was so disappointing. I spoke to a manager and he said that I probably had contracted a bug before I came as their hygiene protocols were stringent. Needless to say I never ate in there again but subsisted on dry baps and jars of apple sauce to fill them along with bananas all purchased in the very handy Co-op right below the hotel. On my second last day the bins were not emptied in my room though the towels were changed and bed made. I put the stuff in a poly bag and dumped them in a bin outside the hotel as there was a banana skin in the bag and that is not something you want to be there for 2 days. I think that the hotel requires a bit of refurbishment. It certainly was not cheap at £147 per night room only in a standard room.

"Lacks fresh air."
Windows don't open so rooms are hot and stuffy. Supposed to rely on aircon but this is noisy and keeps switching off. Find somewhere better.
