"Great location but hotel showing its age"
We’ve stayed here a few times over the years, it’s a great location and there’s lots of nice restaurants and cafes within walking distance. We’ve not been for a couple of years, and this time we felt the hotel was showing its age a bit. Our room was clean but needed repainting. There was condensation in the double glazed window and it looked like there was a damp issue there with some mould damage although it was all contained within the window. The staff were as ever very friendly and helpful. It just felt as though the hotel needed a bit of TLC and maintenance which is unusual for a Premier Inn.
    "Terrible nights sleep."
My wife and I had the worse night sleep of any hotel we have ever stayed at! Ever. The room on the 5th floor had a loud low frequency rumble (in fact on inspection it appeared to be everywhere on the fifth floor I walked around!) Perhaps an aging A/C system? At 1am I went down to the reception to complain and two staff came to our room. They helped us move our bed into the middle of the room as low frequencies build up in the corners of rooms and this made a small difference - small. The staff said in 10 years they had never heard of this particular issue . "Mmmh" I thought. We had a 6.30am start as it was our son's university graduation ceremony and so we we began the morning feeling shattered (thank you Premier Inn) We went to the reception to check out and the young man asked us how our stay had been. "Terrible" I said "absolutely terrible" - "oh were you on the 5th floor" he said. "Mmmh" I thought. On his instructions we claimed a refund for our overnight stay - which without fuss Premier Inn agreed to. I do think Premier Inn Swansea Waterfront should not be letting rooms on their 5th floor until the "rumbling" noise issue has been resolved - it seems unfair to put people into a situation where they miss a nights sleep and have a day planned for the next day - I had to drive home 200 miles after my son's ceremony and I was feeling pretty shattered! I won't be re-booking anytime soon!
"A Premier Inn - Never; absolutely awful experience"
Where do I start? An awful experience from beginning to end and the hotel needs a full refurbishment. we will NOT be going back ever! 1. When entering and exiting the building on my short 1 night stay an alarm was sounding 2. The corridors spelt dirty - body odour and not clean 3. The room was just as bad and had to open the window 4. The air conditioning was not working and the spell was disgusting 5. The towels were worn, hard and guess what - spelt disgusting; you need new towels 6. The bedding may appear clean but the pillow cases spelt of body odour and again disgusting 7. Neither of us slept well and covered the pillow cases with some our our clothing 8. We reported this to the receptionist when we left
    "Good, convenient hotel"
The hotel was as we expected. The room was clean and a standard family room layout. The restaurant and breakfast downstairs were good. Location is great for walking into Swansea centre. You do have to pay for parking. Staff very friendly. We stay here a bit - either here or Swansea North. The only odd thing is whoever designed the building really didn't think about usability - reception is hidden on the first floor and the entrance is cramped and a bottleneck. I guess that's what happens when you are thinking about £ per square foot and return on investment rather than people!
    "Swansea waterfront experience"
Very bad experience. Room cleaning is so bad. Lift smell of wee. Not clean at all. Very outdated hotel. Customer services terrible
