"Good Premier Inn, but under staffed"
Excellent Premier Inn in the heart of the city. However, under staffed for the August rush . The staff were helpful - when we could find them. The breakfast staff could not keep up with the demand for hot breakfasts and therefore there was a wait. They really should employ more people in the summer.
    "Lovely stay"
Loved this hotel. Perfect location and staff were very accommodating. The rooms were perfect but wifi was bad. All my meals were gluten free and they provided gorgeous meals. I will be back.
    "Amazing location"
Amazing local right in the centre, close to the train station, castle, royal mile and has plenty of shops, bars and restaurants around. Clean and very very welcoming and nothing was to much from the staff. Have stayed a couple of times here now and it will be where I will stay again when I return to Edinburgh.
"Served its purpose - very central"
Stayed 1 night as we had a train to catch to London the next morning & didn’t want to risk missing it. Checked in at the automatic check in. Room was on 2nd floor. The hotel, from the outside looks small, don’t be fooled….its huge & like a maze inside. Room was a good size, clean & was really just a bed for the night, so no issues. Decided to eat in hotel as we just wanted to chill. Went to restaurant around 7.15pm to try to get a table. Initially we were told there were no tables available until 8pm, but then the lady in the restaurant said she could fit us in if we were able to choose our food sharp. The restaurant was not busy, so found this a bit strange, but went with it, as we were hungry. Waitress in restaurant was lovely, girl with tattoos (Elizabeth maybe) very customer focused, excellent customer service skills & super friendly. Though I can’t believe she’s never tried sweetcorn on a pizza! 🤯 Food was good, we added the evening meal to a meal plan as we had already paid for breakfast. Excellent value. The bed was the most uncomfortable bed I’ve ever slept on. Certainly not the usual premier inn comfortable beds we have had many times. Awful night sleep due to this. Breakfast was ok, I asked the cook if I could have a we’ll done fried egg, as I don’t like runny yolks, she huffed & puffed at me, telling me she wouldn’t normally do this, but that she’d do one for me! (Considering they offer boiled, poached etc, I thought this was a bit ridiculous, no other staff member in any other premier inn has had an issue doing this for me) Checked out, wasn’t asked if we’d had a comfortable stay. It served its purpose as we needed a bed for the night but the bed was honestly like a brick!
    "Great place for the family"
They held our luggage for us until we could check in, even though their storage area was very full already. Then they were also able to get our rooms next to each other which was a big help as I was traveling with my husband, my kids and my mom, so having rooms near each other was great. Very friendly and quick to help.
