    "Wouldn’t go back"
The location of the hotel is excellent and we had a great view of the old town from our room. Sadly, everything else was poor. The hotel and room were very dusty. The windows are locked shut. The shower curtain had brown water marks on it and didn’t reach around the bath. There werent enough towels. The hair and body wash had been watered down and ran out. Only soya milk was provided as a dairy alternative and I was just handed a half full carton and told to bring it back when I had used what I needed. The desk lamp didn’t work and neither did one of the usb ports. Two members of staff were arguing loudly in the corridor one morning. There wasn’t any where pleasant to sit in the evening. This is a very basic hotel and I wouldn’t go back.
"Good value for a bare bones experience."
PROS: Premier Inn provides a comfortable bed in a secure building, at a competitive rate that makes it worth it to put up with a few inconveniences. This location is very convenient to Waverley Station and Princes Street Garden. Buses and trams are easily accessible. CONS: Check in is self serve at a kiosk in the lobby. The machine was able to take our payment, but didn't provide our keys, and it took some time to find a human to help us. The furnishings are minimal there wasn't even a luggage rack. No one like to put their luggage on the floor. The hotel does not provide daily housekeeping, which is fine, but the tiny trash can cannot hold enough for a four night stay. I had to take it to the lobby and empty it myself. Maybe the hotel could provide an extra trash bag which could be placed in the hall?
    "Breakfast Angel"
Stayed at Premier Inn, Rose Street, Edinburgh for one evening/morning. Ate breakfast and the lady who was working so hard to make sure everyone had their breakfast and cleared tables with a smile.
"Great hotel and vey convenient location."
A very comfortable stay... special thanks to the hardworking friendly staff in the restaurant. Both breakfast and dinner were vey good. The hotel is very close to the train station. We loved Edinburgh and would definitely return to this hotel.
"If you can get a nicer room, go for it."
Hotel is well positioned, being just across the road from Edinburgh Waverley station. I was here for a conference and could only book a family room. The room: It was very spacious, too big for my needs but it would be ideal for a family. There was no view as such. In fact the windows looked out onto other hotel windows and I could see right into the bedrooms - which made me realise they could see into mine. So I had to keep the curtains closed the whole time. The wifi was fine, but it kept logging me out every time I left the hotel, so I had to manually log back in again. Cleanliness: I was in room 236 and I did inform reception that the bathroom smelt of stale urine. The cleaners did come in and freshen it up, but the smell lingered. So I don't know what that was, but it was off-putting to say the least. If management are reading just go and smell that bathroom. Something isn't quite right there. I was going to tell someone when I checked out but there was no-one there. Another potential issue is the check-in. If you have booked the room through your company, then you can't use the self service check-ins. When I arrived there was no-one at reception, so I spent a good 10 mins after a very long journey trying to check in but without success, until a member of staff came onto the desk. The breakfasts are good. The beds are comfy.
