"Super friendly and great location!"
Excellent location! We arrived by train and got a cab to the hotel. Welcome from the Front of House team was super friendly. We walked in to Town which was only 15-20 minutes, where there are lots of bars and a few restaurants. The next day we walked along the canal to the Falkirk Wheel (25-30 mins), then back past the hotel to the Kelpies. A pleasant flat walk (45 mins from the hotel). Admitted defeat at the Kelpies and caught a bus into town (£4.80 single!) The room was huge and super comfortable, powerful hot shower and ... a bath!! the luxury! especially after a long day walking. All the staff were friendly and welcoming and we'd stay again. Just a 30 minute train ride away, Falkirk is an affordable alternative to Edinburgh.
"Ok"
Bedroom fine bathroom needs a little bit of attention toilet seat didn’t fit and kept moving when used paint peeling on ceiling and walls
"Mouldy and dowdy"
This was our third stay here, and unfortunately, will be our last. We stayed in the Anex room 102. The bathroom had a bath which we found difficult to get in and out of when we showered. Very sad to see mould around the bath area. The room itself was OK. The restaurant was a real let down. We had not chosen the meal deal as we didn't know what our daily routine would be. Breakfasts were good, with lots of choice, although the coffee they are using is really terrible. We chose to have dinner one evening, we were told, because we had not booked, that we would not be able to eat until 7.30 it was suggested that we go to the Copper Top, which we did and they had good food. I should mention that the deck outside is still unusable as the wood is rotting, this has been unusable for two years. All in all Premier needs to really give this hotel an update, and hire more staff and not turn customers away.
"Good but not great unfortunately. Staff 10/10. Accommodation 8/10. Food 7/10"
Staff: excellent - applies to reception and restaurant staff. Accommodation: Room was tired. Mould on bathroom walls and ceiling. Restaurant: Food was OK but (Evening meal) 'bombay' burger was crunchy round the outside and very dry. (Breakfast) Vegan sausages weren't cooked properly and were cold in the middle and still unshapen from being frozen I guess. Rest of cooked breakfast was good. Despite going for breakfast at about 9:15 coffee machine had no milk and bread for toast was only white or heels. Not staff fault. Only one person for evening and breakfast service. Hopefully management will resolve as the staff themselves were busy, friendly and as efficient as they could be
"Couldn't have gone better! 10/10"
Wonderful Hotel! Every member of staff greeted us with a smile and a cheery manner. The rooms (in the family block) were clean and well-equipped. The food at dinner and breakfast was amazing and using the meal-deal, was excellent value for money. All in all it couldn't have gone any better Location of the hotel is right next to the canal and all the major attractions (Kelpies, Falkirk Wheel, Rosebank Distillery etc...) are easily accessible by cab or by foot
