"short break with friends"
very enjoyable stay. breakfast is self service but the kitchen is directly be hide the counter so very good and friendly.
"9 years long tenant lol"
I have been coming here to stay 2-3 times a year since 2016 while I visit family in Newcastle. I even call and request the same room every visit. Hotel is clean, staff are friendly and very helpful. Breakfast is always a hit. The only thing I would say is that head office need to spend some money deep clean is needed now. Thank you to all the staff at the gate from bar workers to cleaners xx
"Lovely stay in Newcastle"
This Premier Inn is in a really great location and is within walking distance of lots of lovely bars & restaurants. The main areas of the hotel are lovely and clean and the staff all friendly and attentive. The breakfast was a buffet and it was lovely and hot and freshly maintained. The room itself was clean and the bed really comfortable, however the room could do with a bit of a freshen up as it was very old and tired looking. There was big chips of paint missing from the walls and the grouting in the bath all going black in places, and the bath itself was discoloured. These things didn’t affect our stay at all and we still had a lovely time and would absolutely come back again but when you’re paying £150+ for one night I think the rooms should be kept looking fresh.
"Perfect and central"
Excellent central location. Always clean and tidy, the food is always good too. Ideal having its own little bar. Only downside was one of the lads had a room on his own, and wasn't allowed to take a "guest" back to his room. As she wasn't on the booking.
"‘Premier plus’ not impressed"
I have stayed at premier inn many times and loved it every time. This time for a change we stayed in a premier premium plus room and honestly I don’t think it was worth the extra. I found myself looking around the room to see where the ‘premium’ part was, a free bottle of water? Some art work that makes no difference to my stay? Our room was clean, tidy and had the same comfort as any other premier inn room? We had toiletries provided in the bathroom but most bottles were empty or almost empty. Shower gel being provided is pretty standard in every hotel room of other chains, it doesn’t scream premium to me. Although an enjoyable stay I would not personally pay for the upgrade again and just felt ripped off. The hotel itself was lovely, clean, friendly and welcoming and the breakfast very nice. Just save your money and book standard.
