"Awful visit, others beware"
A couple for an evening away and attending an event. We arrived on Saturday an hour early, asked if we could check in and we said yes thats fine. All checked in after what I can only describe as the highest bill ive ever had for 2 people at a premier inn. For the price we paid we could have stayed at a 4* with spa facilities and that was breakfast with the price also. Please note this hotel doesn't have a proper bar and every time you wanted a drink you had to ask and find a staff member. Staff rude and everything asked was way too much trouble for them, even asking for an ironing board, got the huffs and puffs because I asked. Further more, no windows open so no fresh air, which isnt ideal when its baking in the rooms. Yes fans that go down to 16c and up to 24c. So leaving hotel, thats after a huge bill of all add ons etc you then have to pay for parking!!! £8 just for the privilege. Once home, realised they charged us £15 for early chexk in and wasn't informed they would do.
"Premier Inn at its best"
Premier Inn at its best. Comfy bed, excellent breakfast and value for money Staff were friendly and helpful. Only downside was we had to pay for parking.
"Fine, apart from the parking charge."
A modern Premier inn on the edge of the city. Usual formula, comfy bed, nice clean room, soulless bar and friendly staff. The downside is the additional £8 you have to pay for parking, I know that lots of hotels are moving to this model, typically because their parking spaces are limited. Here however there is loads of parking so it feels a bit like it's a budget airline revenue generation opportunity.
"I would probably avoid."
Staff were unenthusiastic. Food was terrible. An egg should not remain horizontal when you pick it up. Had to pay extra for parking. Room wasnt cleaned on the second day
"A great experience for a fair price"
A really excellent experience in almost every way. Easy booking, friendly and efficient check-in, easy parking, clean and comfy room, cosy bed and tasty breakfast with lots of choice
