"Really great hotel and staff"
The room was great, we paid extra for the premier plus and honestly it was so worth it, the housekeeping team kept it really clean when we asked and the tiny hotel chocolates and bottles of water in the fridge was a nice touch. Loucey checked us in - she was great, really professional and kind. I’d also emailed ahead to let the hotel know it was my partners birthday and they’d decorated the room and left him a present in there for him which was so lovely so thank you for that. Really the stay couldn’t have gone better.
"Very comfortable and friendly staff"
Really comfortable room and very friendly staff, especially Jillian at breakfast! Very close to the town centre so very convenient for MIMA and Platform A gallery.
"Oustanding Hospitality- even for a solo diner"
As a lone diner, I don’t always expect much attention but on my recent visit, I was genuinely impressed by the outstanding service I received, especially from Vicki, your hostess. From the moment I walked in, Vicki made me feel completely welcome and at ease. She was warm, professional, and went out of her way to ensure I was looked after. What really stood out was how informative she was—she took the time to explain the beer drinks deal, which I wouldn’t have known about otherwise, and thanks to her I ended up saving money on my order. That level of attentiveness and honesty is rare and deserves recognition. I returned the following day and was greeted with the same high standard of service by Lucy, who was equally welcoming and friendly. It’s clear that customer service here isn’t just an afterthought, it’s a strength. Both Vicki and Lucy made what could have been an ordinary solo meal feel like a truly valued experience. They’re a credit to your team, and I hope their efforts don’t go unnoticed.
"Hotel is fine, parking is a rip off"
First the good. The hotel is virtually in the centre of Middlesbrough and easy to reach from the main roads. The staff were friendly and welcoming and the rooms spacious and clean. We did not eat in the hotel but the restaurant area looked well kept. Our major gripe is the parking. The car park is shared with Horizon, acting for Premier Inn, the local council and another hotel. You can register your vehicle and for the princely sum of £8 per day park in the allotted Horizon spots. But note that you are not guaranteed a parking space and from our experience Horizon are happy to over book spaces. If you elect to park in one of the council spots then you need to pay them through the pay and display. Note that the council parking attendant is around early each day, including Sundays to dish out parking tickets and on the day we stayed he had managed to get at least 3 cars ticketed.
"Staff are 5 stars"
The staff make this place 5 star Vicky,Pam,Loucey,Kirsty,Kayleigh, Gemma all stars ,the hotel is bog standard Premier Inn parking is limited but if you want a place where the staff will go the extra mile this is a gem of a place ,I spent a lot of time here and staff are next level especially unicorn girl aka Vicky
