    "Lovely stay"
We had a wonderful stay at Childer Thornton , the staff was polite , Matt and Lou was extremely helpful , caring and thoughtful throughout our stay. I’m really shocked at the negative reviews which need to be reflected at the hotel chain rather than the staff itself. My family have seen a massive shift in Covid where staff are overworked , many are doing two to three jobs in the hotel itself all at the same time. Breakfast was cooked to order which was lovely and fresh , milk was heated up for the babies breakfast which was helpful. Wi-Fi worked brilliantly Overall we had a lovely stay and the staff went above and beyond.
"Wi fi - how hard can it be!"
Two previous reviews were August and November 2024 where I mentioned the very poor Wi fi. Roll forward to now - no Wi fi at all. You couldn’t make it up! Come on premier inn it’s not exactly rocket science. Luckily EE reception this time,
    "Awful experience"
My wife and I were booked for one night during a break in Liverpool and we arrived an hour early and was told the rooms were not ready unless we paid £15 for early arrival. My wife who is waiting an operation asked to use the toilet and we were told there wasn't any toilets available which is funny considering they have a restaurant and bar , the lady on reception told us we would have to walk along the road to a garden centre which we did but didn't quite make it in time. When we asked the hotel if we could leave a small case the size of a rucksack and a carrier bag with a bottle of water in it she was not happy so when we returned to the hotel to collect our bags we said after the way we were treated we wouldn't be staying there , as Liverpool were playing a home match there were no other hotels unless we paid over £200 pound a night so we ended up buying another train ticket as couldn't change our original time and travelled back to London. We will never be using premier inn ever again and would advise people to really consider this company before using them , Paul o.
    "Look elsewhere!"
Dreadful, very tired. Wi-Fi is non existent, not just bad, it doesn't work at all, its an know issue at this hotel and has been for a while now. I used this hotel as its near by where I worked. One thing to be very aware of is the car park, its monitored by Horizon Parking (Cameras). I was fined 3 times when I used this hotel, even though I registered my vehicle. Spoke with reception and was told to I would need to fight it out with Horizon..... There are better hotels! Avoid at all costs.
    "Bleak stay"
Having just returned from a 3 night break at this hotel, I never expected I would be writing such a poor review for a Premier hotel, as having stayed in many over the years and rating all so very high, to arrive at this one with it’s unkempt garden area, buildings in much need of a coat of fresh paint, windows dirty. Reception area unmanned, rang the bell twice eventually a receptionist arrived. Quick and to the point we were given our room cards. Steep stairs lead upto the 1st floor. My daughter and I had a room each. First impression small, dark- grim. Tall bed, obviously drawers had been removed. I put my slippers on, I didn’t feel that the carpet was clean. The tv on the wall on the right side of the room, fortunately could be adjusted to pull out a little way so that I didn’t twist my neck too much whilst watching in the evening. Not really in a convenient space. Chipped side table next to the double bed, chipped table. Kettle, enough tea, coffee and milks for two cups. So if more required, there were sachets in reception. Small bathroom , clean, over bath shower which was easy to use , slippy bath, no mat to stand on - be careful. As only me in the room, I used one of the coffee/tea cups to stand my toothbrush/toothpaste. Bed: flat pillows, bedding didn’t smell or feel fresh. Very disappointing as this isn’t normally how I find premier sleep range to be. Second night was noisy with adults talking loudly. Made our way for breakfast , found the room without being signposted by the receptionist on arrival!. However we were asked what time we wanted to have breakfast. Couldn’t just decide on the morning and arrive at our leisure.? I have continental, my daughter full English. Very ice cold yogurt, strawberry and berry fruits . Far too cold to enjoy. Full English served on day one, other two days self serve. Very good - no tinned tomatoes.(as per my daughter) , and did look good and fresh . A very nice dining room , plenty of tables and no annoying music in the back ground. Would certainly never return to this premier again.
